Alan Woodward

Just seen the sad news that one of the best ever blunt players has passed away. Alan Woodward was a star of their team from 1964-1978, playing 640 games for them and scoring over 160 goals.

I remember him from Sunday afternoons on YTV with Keith Macklin commentating. They had a great team in those days, well compared to the rubbish they have now.
He was a good player. Was he one club man?

They were the only ones he played for in England. Left to go to America after he left them and finished his playing days there. Lived in America since then and that is where he died.
