Turkish Airline Open
A very interesting second day here. Van Zyl had a seven shot lead at one stage but played his final eight holes in two over, allowing the field to close on him. Bland, Levy & McDowell all hit seven under rounds and Dubuisson an eight under round but all were eclipsed by a magnificent nine under by Fitzpatrick, who is in contention after an opening round of one over.
Matthew Fitzpatrick 22/1 -8 Tied 11th
Andy Sullivan 25/1 -1 Tied 57th
Ian Poulter 25/1 -5 Tied 25th
Thomas Pieters 35/1 -6 Tied 18th
Fabrizio Zanotti 50/1 -11 Tied 4th
Lucas Bjerregaard 50/1 -7 Tied 15th
Sullivan is out of it & Poulter just hasn't got it to charge the field but I think we have four live contenders to take on the field. Van Zyl should be favourite being two ahead but the big shadow of Rory McIlroy on -10 makes him less than 2/1 in most bookies eyes. Chris Wood is looking great on -12 although I expect Richard Bland to show his usual weekend nerves & fall away.
Dubuisson has won here before & Aphibarnrat is remarkably consistent so should be an interesting weekend. Hopefully good news when I get home tomorrow night.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
