Brilliant outcome for me with Speith winning at 9/1 & Oosterhuizen getting a place at 22/1. Even got a place on Grace as well.

I thought the final round was as good as any final round of a major that I can remember, maybe only matched by Faldo v Norman & Scott v Cabrerra at the Masters and Nicklaus v Sanders, Watson v Newton, Watson v Price & Lawrie v Van De Velde at the Open and Ogilvy v Furyk, Mickelson & Montgomerie at the US. Kept me up until after 3.00am this morning.

While the course had its detractors, it made for compelling viewing with shots swings always possible.

Several players came out of the event with enhanced reputations. Speith obviously but Dustin showed that he can compete for majors on most courses, Oosterhuizen is back & a good bet for St Andrews, Scott will be there or there abouts, Grace can convert regular tournament form to majors, Lowry will be in contention on links style courses & even Rory restored his reputation with a great final round to blow away the daemons of recent weeks.

My long list for St Andrews is likely to include similar players to this event.
