LAST MATCH

The gift that just keeps on giving, continues to throw the season away as we went down to mighty Burton Albion. We went behind when ex Blade Brayford headed in a corner. We levelled quickly, Pato striking one in from 20 yards. Burton then struck twice in 4 minutes,  Mark Helm scoring his first 2 senior goals, one from close range the other from 20 yards. Onto the second half and we huffed and puffed as usual. We did get a penalty near the end and Smith did convert but it was too little too late as we amde it 1 win in 8 games.

THE MATCH

Next up we make the long trip to Bristol to take on Joey Barton's Rovers. Rovers look to be safe as they are 12 points above the relegation zone with 4/5 games left, so we can look forward to playing them next season Doh They are managed by Joey Barton who has been in charge since early 2021. There main threat is Aaron Collins who has 15 goals and 11 assists so far this season. They haven't beaten anybody in the current top 9, when playing them at home, with only ourselves and Bolton left to play. We actually have a decent record against them, losing just 2 of 14, but with Wednesday that means nothing Doh

Port vale have sacked there manager ... obviously this could go either way ..but hopefully this might swing what was a nailed on 3pts for Ipswich ...still if we don't win it's irrelevant !! Plymouth will struggle tomorrow as well but still ..same goes !!!

This is plymouths last hard game if it was by the way !!! The rest they will piss !!! Untill maybe the last game of the season when they aswell are away to Port vale !!

Ipswich go posh and Barnsley away after tomorrow ..still not over ..but again we have to win all 4 games which there could be hope if we get past the first hurdle tomorrow but then you see Shrewsbury away I'm the mix and it just makes a sour thought yet again !!!

It could all be over by bed time.
Should these bottlers draw/lose and the the top two win again then It really is over and the delusion would have to cease.

Instead of going all out for the must win tonight you already know DM will be more focusing trying to not lose, which means a defensive mentality is a given. More of the same.

The pressure to win and perform now is immense and these spineless money grubbers aren't up to it. They've proven they're not.
Even if by some small miracle, tantamount to a lottery win, we get promoted. We simply cannot have this level of bottling managerial incompetence at a higher level.

Proof is in the pudding as they say.
If we went the same route as Sunderland, things could have been different for us. Not personnel wise, but tactically and mentally for the final 10 games.
Then again, I'm one of those that wanted Moore out after bottling it against said Sunderland team.
