Burnley have signed forward Scott Twine on a four-year deal from League One side MK Dons for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old scored 20 goals and recorded 13 assists last season to help MK Dons reach the play-offs.

Twine was also included in the 2021-22 League One team of the season and PFA team of the year.

"I am buzzing. I have definitely made the right decision joining Burnley," Twine told the club's official website after completing his transfer.

Twine is new Clarets boss Vincent Kompany's first signing since his arrival at Turf Moor before the upcoming 2022-23 Championship season.

"We are delighted to have brought Scott to the club. He's an exciting young player that will help us in the short-term process and in the long-term project at Burnley," said Kompany.

Championship side Burnley have signed defender Luke McNally from Oxford United on a four-year deal.

The 22-year-old was brought to Turf Moor for a reported fee of £1.6m, BBC Radio Oxford understands, after 18 months with the League One side.

Former Republic of Ireland Under-21 centre-back McNally played 35 games for the U's, following a move from League of Ireland side St Patrick's.

"It's all happened so quick," McNally told the club website.

"I just can't wait to start now and I'm really excited."

McNally is the second player brought to the club since new boss Vincent Kompany was appointed, along with free-scoring forward Scott Twine from MK Dons.

Speaking about the transfer, Oxford manager Karl Robinson said: "We got what we needed out of the deal. We don't like selling, but for the player it's life-changing."

The 23-year-old made five appearances for City, all in the League Cup, and is Burnley's eighth signing of the summer.

He's the third player Vincent Kompany's Clarets have signed from City, after CJ Egan-Riley and Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

Muric joined City from Grasshoppers in 2015 and had loan spells with NAC Breda, Nottingham Forest, Girona, Willem II and Adana Demirspor while with the club.

Burnley have signed winger Manuel Benson from Royal Antwerp on a four-year deal, for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old former Belgium Under-21 international has already played three games this season for Antwerp.

Benson, who also played for Lierse, Genk, Mouscron and Zwolle, has 24 goals in 197 career games.

"He's a one versus one threat, it's harder to make low blocks when you have someone like him," boss Vincent Kompany told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"He can do that, he's got a final-third goal threat and he's got some pace which we needed to add to the team."

Benson added; I'm very excited, it's a new adventure for me and i have heard a lot of good things about this club.

"I can't wait to start now and I'm looking forward to meeting my new teammates."

Meanwhile, striker Matej Vydra has thanked the fans for their support, after rejecting the offer of a new deal at Turf Moor.

The 30-year-old missed the back end of the campaign after he ruptured his cruciate ligament in May, and his previous deal expired in June.

"I've been lucky to experience the family atmosphere of the club, great teammates and outstanding support from our doctors and physiotherapists that have helped me with my injury," he posted on social media.

"I've done my very best to play to my fullest potential during the length of my contract, not afraid to risk getting injured even towards the end of this contract.

Burnley have signed Southampton winger Nathan Tella on a season-long loan from Premier League side Southampton.

The 23-year-old has made 40 appearances for the Saints, including 33 in the Premier League.

He joins the Clarets in time to feature in their Championship game against Watford at Vicarage Road on Friday.

"Once the opportunity arose for me to come here, this is where my head has been at since," Tella told Burnley's website.

"I've been wanting to play football consistently for a while now and now the opportunity has come up here, it's one I'm just happy to have."

Having come through Arsenal's youth system, Tella went on to join Southampton in 2017 where he has since broken into their first team.

"We're pleased to add Nathan to our team. He's a hard-working player, who carries a great threat going forward with his attacking pace," boss Vincent Kompany said.

"I have no doubt that Nathan will fit in fine here and help improve our squad. We would like to thank Southampton for making this possible and we look forward to working with him."
