Morecambe have signed Salford City defender Donald Love on a two-year deal.
Love, 27, held discussions with Salford over extending his stay with them but has opted to join the Shrimps.
"It is nice to get everything sorted before the start of pre-season," he told the club website.
"There are some big clubs in League One, it is great to be a part of this club and I hope that we can kick on and not just fight relegation."

Morecambe have signed defender Max Melbourne, who will leave Lincoln City this month when his contract expires.
The 23-year-old left-back, who played 13 games on loan with Stevenage last season in addition to eight for the Imps, has agreed a two-year deal.
Melbourne, who began his career at West Bromwich Albion, has also had loan stints at Ross County, Partick Thistle and Walsall.
"I'm excited and looking forward to starting my journey," Melbourne said.
"Being in League One was a big factor for me and after having conversations with the gaffer [Derek Adams] and [head of recruitment] Greg [Strong] about their aspirations and where the club wants to go, I felt like they coincided with my own personal aspirations."

Morecambe have signed goalkeeper Connor Ripley on a one-year deal after his release by Preston North End.
The 29-year-old spent three and a half years at Deepdale but only played 10 games, while he featured nine times on emergency loan at Salford last term.
Ripley, the son of ex-Blackburn and Middlesbrough winger Stuart, lists Oldham Athletic, Motherwell and Boro among his former clubs.
"Morecambe have pushed the boat a bit more for me," Ripley said.
"That was one of the main reasons why I signed, they made it easier for me to sign as they were the ones that made me feel wanted."
Boss Derek Adams added: "Connor comes into to the club following a three-year spell at Preston North End, he will provide stern competition to Adam Smith and Andre da Silva Mendes."

Morecambe have completed the signing of midfielder Jake Taylor from fellow League One side Port Vale.
The 23-year-old joins the Shrimps after helping his former side to promotion via the League Two play-off final last season.
Taylor, who began his youth career with Manchester United, said he was "delighted" to join Morecambe.
"I just wanted to go to a club where I felt wanted, play regularly and express myself," he said.
"As a player you want to play at the highest level possible, it is the unknown for me, it is a step up but hopefully, as a team and individually, we can have a good season."
The midfielder trained with his new club on Friday and will be available for the Shrimps' second pre-season friendly on Saturday, when Derek Adams' team head to Macclesfield.
