England Men slumped to a 2-10 defeat against Hungary at lunchtime today, but put up a much better performance against Norway tonight, eventually losing 5-6 after an extra end. They finish foot of Group B with no wins in 7th place.

Ireland Men lost their final game 6-7 against Czech Republic to finish one place ahead of England on 2 wins.

Scotland Men did their usual thing against underdogs New Zealand, losing 5-6 after an extra end, but still managed to qualify from Group C in 2nd place with 4 wins.

England Women finished their round-robin games by beating Lithuania 7-2 to end up with 2 wins in 5th place in Group B.

Ireland Women also finished on a high with an 8-4 win over Czech Republic, which was good enough to earn them a qualification place from Group A in 3rd place with 4 wins.

Scotland Women then beat Sweden 7-3 with a strong finish to also qualify from Group A with an unbeaten record of 6 wins, going straight through to the Semi-final.

Tomorrow at 9am sees the Men's Quarter-finals which are Scotland v Czech Republic, Sweden v Italy, Canada v Switzerland and Germany v United States. The Semi-finals are at 7pm tomorrow night.

The Women's Qualification Games are Canada v United States and Ireland v Switzerland at 1pm tomorrow. Scotland await the winners of the 2nd game and Finland will play the other winners at 7pm.

Scotland Men ended their tournament following a 5-7 defeat to Czech Republic, where they were edged out on ends scored. The other results were Italy 2 Sweden 9, Germany 6 United States 5 after an extra end and Switzerland 4 Canada 12 where each team scored in 3 ends. In the Semi-finals it finished Czech Republic 8 Sweden 6 and Canada 11 Germany 5.

Tomorrow's Medal Games are Czech Republic v Canada for Gold/Silver and Sweden v Germany for Bronze/packet of hairpins at 10.30am.

Ireland Women were beaten 5-8 by Switzerland and United States beat Canada 4-3. Switzerland then went on to beat Scotland in the Semi-finals by 7-6 after an extra end and United States beat Finland by 8-4.

The Gold/Silver Medal match is between Switzerland and United States with the Bronze/half a dozen eggs Match is Scotland v Finland, both also at 10.30am.

Canada Men continued their good form in the Final, beating Czech Republic by 6-3 in a close game early on with Canada piling on the pressure in the second half. The Canadians went through the whole competition undefeated. In the Bronze Medal Game, Sweden beat Germany by 7-3, taking control in the 5th end.
The gold medal winning Canadian men’s team: skip Wade White, third Barry Chwedoruk, second Dan Holowaychuk and lead George White.
The silver medal winning Czech men’s team: skip David Sik, third Karel Hradec, second David Havlena, lead Marek Brozek and alternate Jiri Chobot.
The bronze medal winning Swedish men’s team: skip Mats Wranaa, third Mikael Hasselborg, second Anders Eriksson, lead Gerry Waahlin and alternate Per Noreen.

The Switzerland Women scored 2 shots in the last end to defeat United States by 6-5 to win Gold. Scotland scored single shots in the last 3 ends to earn the Bronze Medal by beating Finland 6-4.
The gold medal winning Swiss women’s team: skip Cristina Lestander, third Sandra Born, second Silvia Gygax, lead Christina Gartenmann and alternate Karin Durtschi.
The silver medal winning American women’s team: skip Margie Smith; third Ann Swisshelm, second Shelly Kosal and lead Shelley Dropkin.
The bronze medal winning Scottish women’s team: skip and third player Edith Hazard, fourth Mairi Milne, second Wendy Johnston, lead Katie Loudon and alternate Jackie Lockhart.
