League Cup semi-final: Rangers v Hibs, Sun 21 Nov, KO 4.00pm
#1
The international break is now over and now we are back to domestic footie business with Hibs Hampden semi-final looming ever closer. Hibs sadly "up against it" v a team that we don't seem to beat any more and a Hibs manager who doesn't seem to know how to tackle this kinda match positively. Plus the fact we've been hit by a COVID infection thereby restricting training activities. Lotsa Hibs fans travelling to Hampden and just hoping that Hibs "show up" v this bunch of sectarian bigots. THE RESULT MATTERS MORE THAN MOST TBF!! C'mon Hibs! Lets find a performance and finally beat them!!

Looks like they will be without a manager for this one, after their private jet delegation went and forgot to bring Van Bronkhurst back from Amsterdam Laugh Laugh

What an opportunity to get things back on track, lets hope Hibs take it.

GVB still needs a work permit to operate in this country. So two scenarios unfold before this semi-final: 1. He doesn't show up for this particular match or 2. They introduce him before the game, but he sits in the exec stand. IMO it's not a home game at Ibronx. Therefore they wouldn't be privy to this kinda welcoming exercise anyway.

GVB eh ? No doubt he will be getting paid for with the orange top sales from their despicable, bigoted support.

Scotlands Shame.

Well on that subject alone, just compare their toxic support's behaviour/chanting with the Hibs support and the general football songs that will no doubt emanate from Hibs fans during Sunday's semi-final. It will be no different from Hibs famous 2016 3-2 Scot Cup final win v them when most of the scum media swept RFC's expected toxic behaviour "under the carpet" as usual while the scenes in the Hibs stands were related to the sport of footie and not some virtual "platform of hate" that these bastards consistently wanna embrace. Yep, Scotland's shame and the the most shameful thing re this whole poisonous RFC display is the fact it is still not challenged enough in Scotland by the appropriate authorities, an absolute disgrace with many sports people, and others, in false denial re the extent of this problem.

The reason the authorities in scotland don't challenge it more is because A) they share the same attitudes and prejudices of the hun support B)In general they are hun supporters anyway or C) They don't want their windows panned in by the kind of mob that threatened to kill Neil Lennon.

They arent "just a football club" they are a platform for right wing nutjobs and Loyalist extremists.

Hibs are a hundred times greater club than those manky, tramp bastards.

Get them out of hate-filled Ibrox and they're nothing special. Hibs had 29% possession, 3 shots on target out of 3 taken and 3 goals. That's how it's done.

Rangers could have had 100% possession after the interval and still not scored.

Just back and that victory was super sweet esp after the majority of Hibs fans crammed into the east corner of Hampden and initially being serenaded by the usual "Rule Britannia" brigade, all 35k-40k of these Huns giving it laldy. And then Boyly stuns them all - scores from our 1st corner! Laugh I, and lotsa other Hibs fans, curiously watching both Rangers CBs, Balogun and Goldson, during that frenetic 1st half and thinking they are "all over the place" and can't handle Boyly's pace. Sure enough - bang, and bang again - a historic Boyly hat-trick v Rangers - the 1st one ever v The Rangers because Ivan Sproule's previous hat-trick all these years ago at Ibronx was v Glesca Rangers! My only annoyance was Porty's sclaff with his left peg, right after our 3rd goal, to give Arfield an easy "strike", 1-3 Hibs at HT. Also they were there to be annihilated by Hibs with such a rocky defence - could've been a 1-4 or 1-5 pummeling!! Anyway, time to "dust ourselves down" and be difficult to beat. Hibs players, to a man, playing with "something to prove" and battling for every ball plus Lady Luck favouring the brave. So many players worthy of the MOTM award. Obviously Boyly high up for that award, but I must say Paul Hanlon was a "rock" in our defence esp after being given a yellow amazingly in the 2nd min of the match!!? One has to ask, "Was that the manager's instruction" to Hanlon and Newell to 'nail' their players, early doors, and 'lay down a marker'. Great stuff by the guys and resolute with Macey hardly having any kinda save at all apart from that bizarre pass back from Magregor that hit Hibs goal post in the dying mins - near enough done in my "ticker" with that daft pass back, Darren clearly not "up to speed" after the surprise of having to replace a magnificent Porty who recovered very well after his mistake in the 1st half. Another cup final beckons - WELL DONE HIBS AND NOT BEATEN IN A LEAGUE CUP SEMI-FINAL BY THEM, OR GLESCA RANGERS BEFORE THEM, SINCE 1947 - AN AMAZING STAT BTW!!
