Aberdeen v Hibs, Sat 23 October, KO 3.00pm

I would normally classify this fixture as a vg one for Hibs at this current time as the Dons being pilloried by their own fans/media and question marks being raised re the ability and experience of their manager, Stephen Glass. Also after years n years of waiting for Hibs fans, IMO we've finally "buried" the bogey that AFC held over us in league matches - couldn't beat them home or away for long enough, an absolute disgrace! I watched their last match/defeat v Dundee at Dens Park and I think Hibs have a good chance of beating them again. However, I have obvious concerns that Hibs are gonna lose to another team that has never won a match in their last 10 fixtures albeit playing well in a lotta these games, but failing to score the requisite goals again - a case of deja vu, we've seen this scenario before and Hibs really have to "grow up" in that respect; in other words, it is an "acid test" following a disappointing showing v Dundee United and JR needs to "earn his corn", reassess his team selection/tactics and effectively "get it right" v a team/manager that is under pressure. If we beat the Dons, we'll go 10 pts clear of them and should get embroiled in the "scrap" at the top of the Scot Prem - I DON'T WANNA SEE A RETURN TO OLD HABITS TBF!! Porty still missing, a big defensive loss IMO!! But JR must try to solidify our defence and field players close to his 1st pick back line as possible. Balancing the mid area is imperative as well. It's a great pity Doidgy isn't playing because he normally plays well at Pittodrie - just gotta place his faith on Kevin Nisbet being the striker that "makes the difference". C'mon Hibs, nae slacking!

Win, lose or draw we need to see a positive reaction to the poor showing v Dundee United......... from all concerned.

Unfortunately history tells us, often when a team is struggling to win, score goals etc up come Hibs and oblige to help put them back on track. Doh Lets hope this is not the case on Saturday. Thumb up

Aberdeen are an absolute mess on the park at the moment and hearing Cormack on the radio venting at everyone the other night suggests that all is not well behind the scenes either.

Think we usually do not bad bouncing back from a bad result so let's hope we can capitalise.

Diabolical first half - 1 nil down at half time.
Midfield totally overrun.

Absolutely hopeless....... Aberdeen had a makeshift defence out there and we rarely bothered them. Was just about as bad as last weeks shitshow but at least Utd are a team doing well at the moment.

Yep! How predictably disappointing and expected (as hinted in my OP - HIBS ARE GOOD RE THIS KINDA SHIT SHOW AND DELIVERED IT V A TEAM THAT HAS BEEN 'FOUND OUT' IN THEIR LAST 10 FIXTURES!!Thumb down) Also as Jim mentioned, v a makeshift team - look at that makeshift defence FFS and another stat to slam into Ross's face is the fact they never hit a shot on target in 100 mins of footie - THAT IS ABSOLUTELY DAMNING AND INDICATIVE OF A MANAGER WHO SHOULD'VE HEEDED THE WARNINGS COMING FROM VARIOUS HIBS SOURCES (INCL MYSELF) AND STILL COULDN'T MOTIVATE A TEAM OF PLAYERS THAT WAS IN NEED OF A LIFT. IMO Hibs are a mid-table side at best on that showing!! Also d'ya remember Ross commenting 3 weeks ago that Hibs had been in the top four of the Scot Prem for a long period and indicative of good progress - TALK ABOUT TEMPTING FATE FFS!! We've literally visited Ibronx unbeaten a few weeks ago and the events of that match have imploded in their faces with subsequent key injuries, a suspension and hopeless performances since then - a f###### shambles!! Thumb down What a poor advert for a team that was looking good, playing attractive footie and unbeaten not so long ago - DISGRACEFUL AND OPEN TO SERIOUS QUESTIONING FROM HIBS FANS WHY THIS TEAM HAS BEEN MISMANAGED IN THIS WAY!! Lots of us saw the threat of this unfolding - why didn't Jack Ross see it!!?????

On this form we are a powder-puff side that will do well to keep out of the relegation zone - only 8 points above 2nd-bottom Dundee. Darren McGregor was described as an experienced defender, more like too old nowadays. Unfortunately he's yesterday's man, but he's not alone in that respect.

Yep! You may mention that fact with an element of the inevitable result attached to it, but we are, in fact, a real "bogey team" v the Hoops at ER Stadium - quite a few different Celtic managers have tried to beat Hibs in Scot Prem matches and that includes "super cool" Brendan Rodgers - all failed in years n years of trying. It's another one of those amazing stats and similar "threads (or OPs) of trepidation" have been compiled by many a Hibee and proved to be "way off the mark". Lets pray it's a case of "same again".
