Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has indicated Neil Redfearn is a genuine contender for the head coach's role at Elland Road.

Academy boss Redfearn has been given the caretaker reins at Leeds for a third time after Dave Hockaday's exit.

Chris Hughton would be good for steadying the ship but who really would want a job with this chairman?

I can't think that anyone would want to take it on knowing they're on borrowed time before they start. Then again, when you're guaranteed a payout even if you're sacked, what's to lose? Not likely they'd lose their reputation because most would say its just Cellino again!

Sounds like a pretty destructive force to me!

So having taken Argentina to the World Cup final and all the world's top jobs at his fingertips, Alex Sabella is in line to become the new Leeds boss. Laugh

The payoff Hockaday got is peanuts in today's terms, though.

I assume it will be an Italian - of course; Reno Gattuso, maybe.

What would the payoff be in comparison to what he was getting at Forest Green though ....?

Forest Green are pretty well off, aren't they? Certainly they're paying Lee Hughes' wages.

I give up, then, can't see any reason why anyone would accept the job in that case. Lol
