Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Huddersfield Town

We travel to Sheffield on Wednesday following the good 1-0 win against QPR away on Saturday. The Owls played Norwich on Sunday at home and despite taking an early lead with a goal from Rhodes, lost 2-1. Carlos was spotted in the stands, no doubt taking immediate interest in Wednesday but with an eye on our forthcoming match against Norwich, too. Nice to see he could get out of a Sunday instead of rocking to and fro in the corner of a darkened room.

Darren Moore has been in charge at Hillsborough for a couple of weeks. He was persuaded to leave Doncaster Rovers who have their sights on promotion to the Championship for Sheffield Wednesday who appear to have their sights on demotion to League One. I am determined to take no joy from their position, given that we could well be there ourselves but you do have to ask WHAT was he thinking? I suppose you can say there is a tad more hope of staying in the Championship than there is to crawl out of League One, as we found out.

The League as it stands:

We've a mixed bag of results whereas the Owls haven't won since 9th Feb when they ran out 2-0 winners over the only team below them, Wycombe Wanderers. But let's not get smug, we have a tendency to gift wins to teams under or around us.

Head to head stats are fairly even:

The last time we met was a 2-0 win to us on 8th December 2020, goals from Koroma and Mbenza.

Bastards don't give a hoot. They are making me walk home again - in this bloody weather too (wit to woo) !!

Or (I know, I know)

Don't they know how dangerous it is for a bird (sorry) to walk home on her own after the match round here?

Hey - I told you we'd have won if we'd played in navy blue and white stripes.

So the Cisco Kid has mounted his 'oss and moved on out of Bluntblade Lane.

The lad from The Baggies has moved in at The Wendy House.

Whose gonna win first? Well one answer is usually who plays us first if I'm honest.

Er, right.

No 3. Jordan's just heard from his agent that his options in the summer are Huddersfield Town and errm...... Huddersfield Town.

No 1. He's saying, I'm a Championship manager now and still the contestants on Soccer AM have never heard of me.
