Agree with that. The other problem is that the difference between Celtic's overall income and say Hearts/Aberdeen's (leaving rangers out of it for now) is a chasm. This is down to a fan base and stadium that can generate income way in excess of what other Scottish teams are capable of. Now of course in England Leicester won the title yet their overall income is small compared to the Big 4 in the Prem, but the lucrative TV deal means that even though Man Utd's income is much more, the level of Leicesters income gives them a chance to compete if they buy well, as we saw. In Scotland, the TV income is pathetic by comparison and means that income through the gate or shop is still the most important revenue stream for Scottish teams and that will always make it a struggle for everyone other that Celtic (and eventually Rangers if they get their act together).

they had a bigger fan base before the SPL was formed but it was amore level playing field and other clubs mounted a stronger challenge
