2016/17 (Jan 30 Update) WBA January Transfer Window
Robson-Kanu
He is living on his 'wonder goal' in the Euros.  Think he will turn out to be another Lambert

Allan-Roméo Nyom
Another typically cheapo West Brom acquisition. Lost his place at Watford

All these other names of players the fans would drool over may just be window dressing to placate the fans.
Pulis will be saying "We've signed some 'smashing lads' and we tried hard to add to these but fell short in the end"

Another five hours may hopefully prove me wrong - hope so but not confident.

What I find frustrating is that we have two known strikers, and ex-English one, and one that has potential to be, meaning Lambert and Saido, and we can get neither to play to potential, and are looking at inferior players to replace them. Daft world ain't it. Then we have a quality full back - 47 caps - Gambio, whose also gone and now we need a replacement. Rolleyes

I'd take Robson-Kanu for Rickie Lambert any day of the week. Not a brilliant step up but player for player it is a step forward.

Still praying for a big deal to happen as well though................. tumble weed

Sport Witness are reporting that West Brom's attempt to sign Angers centre-back Romain Thomas has failed.

It reports that the French Ligue 1 side pulled the plug on the deal for the 28-year-old centre-back over concerns that they would not have enough time to sign a replacement.

Where does Tony Pulis turn from here?

If that is the best the club can do then I am done with the club. I will not spend another penny supporting the club. I have supported the club for 50 years and I have never felt so let down.

We don't really need to despair about Thomas, obviously it's frustrating to miss out on yet another player but the need for a centre back isn't urgent (the same applies to Camacho and Carvalho imo but I know you're not all sold on Fletcher), also Nyom's signing, when it happens, offers us the option of moving Dawson centrally, so we have strengthened in central defence to an extent. The reason Nyom has been dropped by Watford is because their manager wants to play a back five and Nyom doesn't fit into the wing back role, it doesn't mean we should write him off yet.

In terms of good news it's worth remembering that we have kept Jonny Evans, imagine how fucked we'd be if he'd gone.

I wasn't as quick off the mark as Dingle Dingle in reporting:

Though he might not be that important, by their saying they had enough time to find a replaced, smacks of it being a panic last minute want to buy. Doesn't look good Baggies.

Still finding it frustrating is that we have two known strikers, and ex-English one, and one that has potential to be, meaning Lambert and Saido, and we can get neither to play to potential, and are looking at inferior players to replace them. Daft world ain't it.

Beefy, it has been widely reported by the press that Kanu trained with us in the summer. All over Twitter too.

Really annoyed at the moment.

How are Bournemouth getting bloody Wiltshire.

Dev, probably because Wenger thinks Albion under Pulis is a crap place to loan players.....and he'd be correct in that view
