Nyom wouldn't be a bad addition. But was hoping for Camacho and another creative midfielder, at least.
Regarding Saido, I'm not sure why everyone is so keen to see him go... Yes, he's been shoddy in the last couple of months but on his day he's still one of the best strikers in this division. He scored a few winning goals last season, including away at the Villa, which more than justified the money we turned down for him. I think he's useless in the position 'in behind' Rondon, but he's a more than adequate replacement as an out and out striker if Rondon gets injured. To be honest, I'd rather keep him than go for many of the names we've been linked with. If we get Rodriguez on loan, he'd be a much more suitable option as second striker. I get what you say but, personally, I have had enough of the lad.
He is a remarkably lucky lad to be a professional footballer and he should know this. I expect to see an energy and enthusiasm about him and his love for his craft but instead he is wasting it all away with attitude.
I have teenagers and so I know only too well that Youth is wasted on the young. When we reach our 50's its only then that we get to value and appreciate (too late) what was available to us.....
Accepted it might not be all of his doing and all parties are to blame. But, he looks overweight and out of form. I know match time is the only true time but he is slow, lacks confidence to shoot and looks less mobile that he used to be. When players are on the edge of a squad they get told to make an impact when they get on the pitch, "Show the manager (and fans) what you are capable of" - but he obviously does not prescribe to that way of thinking!
It's his job to be ready. Fit, sharp and ready to go. Instead when he's on the bench, from what little I see, he does not look interested in the match, he does not look keen to get out and play and when the chance does arise he lethargically moves around like a child forced to go on a cultural trip with the parents.
I don't care if we don't sell him. But I'd like to see him play with the kids until his contract runs out whilst I watch someone with less 'God given talent' work hard to play for us.

Even if Saido stays we still need another striker, we cannot rely on Lambert again.

Looks like I have had my wish for a striker with Robson-Kanu having a medical with the baggies
