Another full week has passed and still no signings. What are they doing ???

It gets worse every year. I'm actually thinking it may be January before we sign the next player. Hammond was brought in because of his so called experience. It would appear he is collecting his wages for no productivity. Even I have to laugh now.

SCHLUPP CONSIDERING TRANSFER REQUEST

Sky sources are telling us that Jeff Schlupp is now contemplating a transfer request.

We heard yesterday that the Leicester winger was "deeply unhappy" at not being allowed to talk to West Brom after they bid £12m for the player last Friday.

Sky sources told us that Leicester, whose manager Claudio Ranieri doesn't see Schlupp as a major part of his plans, weren't happy with the structure of that bid from West Brom.

Its going to end up being last minute as usual and of the 5 players were after (position wise) we will get 2 or 3 at best, has beens, or, unknowns I'd wager?
I'm utterly bored of it all

Oh and if we lose Evans to Arsenal then I will truly give up

Is our lack of transfer success down to the negative character that TP gives, or down to penny pinching tactics from the backroom? Or both??
I would guess both are to blame - smaller, less established clubs than us seem to be attracting and signing the players that they are linked with; it really is a statement of how our club is run AND regarded that we can't match the likes of Bournemouth, Middlesborough, Sunderland and Burnley in this respect Blush

(....especially considering the money that is available from this TV deal, let alone what MAY be available from the new owners)

I've just realised what the problem is. We never win a game unless Val is locked in his studio - must be the same for transfers. Val, WILL YOU GET IN THERE AND STAY IN THERE until the end of August. You're wrecking our whole season by being out and about. Sad

I am naturally frustrated by the lack of substance to any rumours at the moment - but this is not untypical of the way we deal in the markets and so I am not unduly concerned.

I am sure activity is happening in background, as TP says regarding Evans, if there is to be discussions, they'll do it between the clubs and not in public, I respect that.

It is for that very reason that I remain confident that players are identified (more that we have listed) and negotiations are very established. As with Stoke who want Berahino, they know they have to wait for us to find a replacement before we let the sale complete - personally I expect us to have a new striker and to say goodbye to the spoiled child.

Yup, I'm sure you're right stairs, in that huge amounts of work is going on behind the scenes that we know nothing about.........but it still seems that we will cobble together a deal or 3 with players who nobody else wants by the end of the month!
I very much hope I'm wrong, by the way!
