2016/17 (Jan 30 Update) WBA January Transfer Window
West Brom manager Tony Pulis praised Saido Berahino for his display in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace and says he does not want the striker to leave during the transfer window.

The Baggies boss also says the club are hoping to make five new signings before the window shuts. BBC Sport.

The less Saido plays the more money we will get for him. That header was a shocker

In my opinion, TP wants Saido out, he is an inecfectual unsettling influence, but he can not say that, value would plummet. By saying he wants him to stay will mean clubs have to work harder and pay more unless he goes for free. Palace are desperate for a goal scorer ... he can do it. We may get £30 mil yet.

Agree with that , apart from the £30m bit. We're playing a tricky game of poker here and it could end up with us getting reasonable dosh for him in the next 2 weeks - IMO £20m would still be outstanding - or zilch.
We've gotta take the money and run, surely.

I agree Drewks, it would not be my game plan ..... Only fly in the ointment is if he sticks the knife in and refuses to go until his contract expires, dangerous game on both parts. With JP gone surely he can have no beef with the club ... all of this caused by bloody Levy trying to deal on the cheap using HP over ten years, .... surely he will leave for a fee and play, resurrect his career he has tried so hard to destroy.

Just heard from a decent source in Manchester that Borthwick-Jackson on loan is on, and that we have given up on Taylor as Leeds are refusing to sell.

I was tempted to start it as a new thread earlier I had it from a good source myself, but had no link to a story so felt I'd wait until it was further down the line.

It will happen though, unless Leeds change their stance on Taylor.

Make of this what you will :o
