Good wins in the singles today for Kyle Edmund (6-4 6-2 against Australian Jordan Thompson) and Heather Watson (6-4 6-7 6-3 against China's Shuai Peng).
Heather will be back out again later playing the women's doubles with Jo Konta.
Konta starts her singles tomorrow as does Andy Murray, the defending champion. He plays Viktor Troicki.

Serena knocked out of the singles today! So who will win that one now?? Konya, who won today maybe?? Murray through with ease to the last 16, he must be overwhelming favorite for the gold now.

Kerber will be one of the favourites. Konta will be lucky to pick up a bronze medal TBF. Dunno what happened to Serena last night v that 21 year old Ukrainian player? 5 double faults in her penultimate serving game??????? I've never seen that kinda form coupled with her 'face like a storm' behaviour!! What was that all about???? Bizarre! I don't think the Ukrainian girl could believe her luck.

Konta plays Kerber in the quarters. Can't really see her winning that.

one set all, but abreak down early in the decider.

0-3 down. But now it's 3-3.

Breaks again to go 4-3 up.
