2016/17 (Jan 30 Update) WBA January Transfer Window
Good news on Phillips.

What do people think about Diafra Sakho, do we really want him? He has only scored 15 in two seasons, maybe due to his lack of games, but there are another couple of niggly concerns for me.

Do we really want a striker who can only make third choice at the Sham? He could be better in our setup I suppose!

Do we want to replace one sulker with another? Remember the Sham saying he had a knee injury, when the reported real reason was that he did not like being on the bench so much. I can't see a player with that attitude getting on to well with TP.

May be a really good signing I am just not sure.

The proposed deal for Berahino may include Odion Ighalo, 27, as a makeweight. The Nigerian scored 15 Premier League goals last season. (Daily Mail)

Aha.....obviously he was tapped up some months ago, and the double penalty miss wasn't SUCH an accident..... Doh

Ighalo has got years left on his contract apparently, whilst Sulky Boy only has one. Doesn't sould like a makeweight to me Huh

Do not want Sakho, his attitude sounds worse than Saido.

Watford turned it down - as not interested.

Interesting take on transfers and why we are not seeing more action in the market,
Interesting also that the usual reliable Baggie 38 is still saying its the takeover that's holding things up ?? Huh

cheers baggie 38..any idea if there is a takeover cut off date like last year ?

No idea mate just been told it should be done relatively soon but the club will need to hit the last month of the window hard because while these talks are going on we won't be making any of the bigger signings which people are waiting for us to do. I would suggest not panicking and enjoy the ride.

Looks like we stand to make £1.2 million from the transfer of Kemar Roofe to Leeds, more money in the pot JP, spend it wisely.

On Phillips We can live in hope.

Dawson - ? - Evans - ?
Yacob - Fletcher
Phillips - ? - ?
Rondon

Fill in the blanks with quality and we've had a perfect window. Sakho is a good striker but I hope we don't go for him as it would probably mean playing a 442, which doesn't suit either Yacob, Fletcher or Morrison and I genuinely think we'd get relegated trying to play it.

For someone who said the jury was still out on them at the close of last season Chester has gained some credit in my eyes after his performances for Wales. Also no place for Morrison?
