I reckon he could do very well at Arsenal, he was never a big scorer at Man Utd but certainly a powerful, pacy and talented striker who if he added goals to his workrate would have been a lot more popular at O/T

With the likes of Ozil, Wilshere etc to feed him i`m expecting a lot more, well at the very least better than Bendtner or Giroud

Was surprised Utd sold Welbeck. I rate him quite highly.

He's not a man for van Gaal's system though apparently. He played him plenty in pre-season but evidently he didn't do enough to impress. Either that or it was Welbeck who forced the move. Judging by his comments on signing he would always have rather been at Arsenal than MU.

I have never rated him that highly, not that I have seen that much of him, I just felt he was maybe another Heskey, decent player but no world beater!! I hope he does well at Arsenal though, and they definitely need some pace in their team.

Ive asked couple of Arsenal fans what they thought if it came down to getting Remy or Welbeck

The common census was they were just happy that Arsenal bought anybody! That Arsene got of his arse and actually bought someone, sadly thats how lots of fans seem to think

I think that despite it sounding a desperate final minute buy by Wenger. It is actual one hell of a good deal. Arsenal move it about very well and need a target to pass to in the box. I think Welbeck will be well fed - if he stays fit he could be on 20+ goals

He could also be the new Nicklas Bendtner. Take that however you like. Whistle

I've always thought of him as an early Scholes type. Maybe not your best player but someone you'd rather was in your team than the opposition's, and always capable of getting a goal or 2.

Is he worth as much as he cost? Over the period of his contract he probably will be.

I think a few Arsenal fans will have warmed to him after the a England match

Which makes Wenger's statement that if he had been in the UK on deadline day he would not have bought Welbeck all the more remarkable. Could be the making of him
Bonum vinum laetificat cor hominis.

It screwed the spuds over so I think they'd be happy with that alone
