We needed to have our spot sewn up with a game to spare in order to rest our stars for the PO games. Now everyone's injured or pushing every last ounce to the end.

But the opposite also applies sometimes with a team that fights to get into the playoffs and continue right through to promotion!!  It's one of those things that can go either way.
