He's done it himself Jim,he was quoted in a rag saying we are the same as Denmark a world class player away from qualifying for a tournament, now if that's true he's saying we won't qualify.

Which is half the problem Strachan will revert to playing the failures from the last campaign.

I think our midfield is decent, mcarthur, fletcher,Naismith,Morrison,Snodgrass,Anya

Who else would you bring that's better?

Brown was a mainstay in that midfield, Anya had a couple of decent matches no more. McArthur decent player but no more, Morrison good squad player at best. we lack creativity and Fletcher is past his best sadly.

Makes no difference who we suggest. Strachan will keep with his favourites - Brown, Mulgrew, Fletcher, Morrison, Hanley, Greer - no matter how piss-poor they're playing domestically. This blinkered outlook to change and progress will lead to failure yet again.

Fair enough, the possible replacements need to make a case for inclusion. McGinn didn't do too badly the other night, but it needs to be kept in mind that he didn't look out of place - in a team playing utterly turgid football. Same goes for Tierney and the out-of-his-depth-internationally Griffiths. They all need to do better, if only to keep the fan pressure on Strachan to embrace change.
