News that former player Peter Odemwingie suffered a severe knee injury in Stoke's game against Man City.

He needs an operation and apparently will be out until January at least.

A player who is a bit like Marmite; you either loved him or hated him.
Personally I'm sorry to hear the news, so I'm wishing him a speedy recovery.

Personally I wish him no ill but all the good he did for us as a player was spoiled x2 with his stupid antics off the pitch.
One less former player that can haunt us (at least for 1 game) IMO - that's all

loved him playing for us, hated what he did off the field, still sad the way he left, never forget his hat-trick against the dingles, never wish any player ill will so, speedy recovery but not before we play the clayheads

Just an injured player for a rival team to me, makes them slightly weaker and could potentially benefit us.

May well be career-ending for him at his age (or at least do for him in top-flight football). I don't wish any harm on him, but the manner in which he left us means I'll never be queuing up to fawn over him either.

Big Grin
I was also a big fan until he 'dissed' us and from then on he'll always be Odemwanker to me !

Reckon you could be right Ska'd, at his age 33? He could be finished so..... ship him back to the Ukraine says The Baggie Man. Can't do with disloyal money grabbing arses like him.

He's not included in Sjoke's named squad of 25 so, the earliest he could play again would be January. Maybe we should send him a Christmas card !

If it wasn't for his goals then we wouldn't still be in the Premier League so the guy should be respected.

Never mind the goals he scored which was really only in one season, if it wasn't for for West Bromwich Albion he could be still plying his trade in Moscow with Lokomotive. But of course he obviously wasn't grateful for that and decided to try and force a move and line his grubby pockets along the way. Very unprofessional the way he behaved.
