A welcome reprieve for Ronny Deila - Hearts 1 Celtic 2

So Celtic eliminate Hearts from another Scottish domestic cup tourney in a generally awful match but more importantly for the Hoops' manager, his team have won a tricky fixture at a difficult time and without his captain, Scott Brown, but Leigh Griffiths' sheer skill and drive have come to the fore in taking on a resolute Hearts defence and scoring a terrific 1st goal and setting up the second goal for Rogic - game over and a huge relief for Deila! The next challenge is the Dons but neither of these opponents are even close to the quality of Molde, who they face next Thursday - a Norwegian side they will find to be very difficult opponents to beat.

Without super leigh that celtic team would be in real bother i think. From what i've heard from folk who know him he seems to like deila and life at celtic currently,he might be in the minority with that though.

He could be one of Celtic's great centre forwards if he sticks to playing football TBF! Both goals last night v Hearts will be another piece of payback from Leigh, particularly after all the shit that he's endured from Hearts fans down the years, online and in Embro, although it's a two-way thing with Sparky but his response on the pitch v the Gorgie outfit has been consistently scoring goals against them - the best response possible eh!!

Nahhh! In this specific case, prob the actions of a certain Rudi Skacel who was no saint either when it comes to coming out with blabbing anti-Hibs shit down the years and made himself a target of abuse! It takes two to tango lol! As for anyone saying Leigh Griffiths was not terrorised by certain Hearts fans down the years - return to planet earth eh! Lol! The poisonous shit (not even close to being called banter!!) that he was subjected to was well known in Hibs circles for long enough but time has moved on and he should concentrate on what he's good at - banging in goals and improving his lot as a Celtic player and playing in future Scotland sides!

Sorry Fredster! I'm not getting involved in any slagging match re this issue. You can carry on if that rocks your boat. I remember Griffiths shutting down his twitter account twice because of ridiculous, aggressive comments being made by fans (????), many of whom appeared to support the Gorgie club but having vicious/derogatory comments being made about your family and kids is way over the top and I'd go as far as to say that is close to terrorising another individual. Lets reverse the scenario and give you a couple of weeks of insulting your wife and your kids by some evil little shithead in the warped way that some of these morons behave and I reckon your general view of this shit would be endorsed! IMO the Hearts fans' issue was secondary to this debate anyway but you obviously think otherwise. This debate was about the behaviour of players and thankfully there are very few players down the years who behaved like Griffiths and Skacel and no f#####g wonder! Making yourself a target by saying or singing dumb things really is the height of foolishness and just attracts vermin who are looking for any reason whatsoever to utter vile abuse to any Tom, Dick or Rudi/Leigh and gives them some form of satisfaction in their boring little lives!! The sport of football is sadly still full of this shit! Will it change? I'd like to think it will some day for the good of the game but I have my doubts!!
