Hibernian have signed up Celtic midfielder Dylan McGeouch and Southampton striker Jake Sinclair on season-long loan deals.
McGeouch, 21, spent time on loan with Coventry City last season, making just eight appearances as a substitute.
Sinclair, 19, made his Southampton debut in the League Cup last season.
"I'm delighted we have added both Dylan and Jake - they will offer us something different and strengthen our attacking options," said Hibs boss Alan Stubbs.
"Dylan comes to us with a high reputation earned at Celtic and we see him playing in a more central role in midfield.
"His energy and quality will give extra impetus to the team and we're looking forward to seeing him perform for Hibs.
"Jake will give us a few options in attack; through the middle and out wide. He is a really exciting player with genuine pace, who can hurt the opposition.
"He is an up-and-coming talent, who we've been aware of for some time."

A good bit of business for the Cabbage, and a much needed boost for their hard pressed fans. Sure Tynie will be pleased.

Sounds good but as the board have reneged on their promise of a revolution at Easter Road it leaves us in pretty much the same position as previous seasons. Most of us will now be waiting for our season to hit the buffers round about Christmas like it did in 2013/2012/2011/20....... It would be surprising if we find ourselves pushing for promotion now despite the promise that Premiership prices were being kept so that the club could "invest" the extra cash on the playing squad

Points about not bringing in players might be valid but I think it's a bit early to be writing yourselves off in the promotion race. It can take time to adjust to playing teams at this level every week. And they all want to take the big scalps when they can, just to make things tougher.

The thing that would really concern me is the lack of managerial experience brought by Stubbs, but it'll take time to see how he does.

The thing that really bothers me is that we're on a downward spiral and we NEED to break out of that.

Stubbs' lack of experience doesn't bother me at all. That's the market we're in and we've currently no right to expect better. Hopefully big changes aren't too far away and things will change for the better.

Let's hope the newbies can give us the kickstart we need.
