So Rangers do have a good chance against him. Price will be on hand in case he gets into a jam. Umps much better last night. I believe she's Canadian.

Blue Jays take game 4 so it's back to Toronto for the game 5 decider!! Both AL match ups are going to game 5s. Both NL games may still go the same way!!
Thorny, if you want to watch an exciting game then try to watch at least one of the deciding games.

Cubs end up with a post season record 6 homers and beat the Cards 8-6. Game 4 tomorrow at Wrigley again, Cardinal will put their best pitcher in, John Lackey, on only three days rest. Going to be another good game!!!

Why do the pitchers need so much rest?

Teams generally have 5 starting pitchers who do the bulk of the work, the teams play a 162 game schedule with about 15-20 off days, teams generally play at least 6 times a week, that's why they have the rest. A starting pitcher will throw roughly 225 innings these days which equates to 30 games per starting pitcher. It was different when Baseball began in the late 1800's, some pitchers threw 600 innings and played 60-70 games.
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.
