Race recap:
The motor racing community mourned the loss of another former f1 driver, holding a minute silence for Justin Wilson who died two weeks ago in an Indycar race after being hit on the head by crash debris.
Both Ferrari and Mercedes brought engine upgrades to this race, although Mercedes' upgrade is primarily to prepare to lay the groundwork for next season's engine rather than looking for an instant performance gain.
The first two qualifying sessions were spoilt by the expectation of huge grid penalties for all the Renault and Honda engined drivers, but then Ferrari managed to spring a surprise in the final session by splitting the two Mercedes drivers.
Raikkonen struggled to get off the line from second on the grid and dropped to last, luckily everyone managed to avoid his stationary car.
Rosberg also had a poor start again, slipping to sixth place.
Lotus's bad luck returned, both drivers unfortunate to retire on the opening lap from collisions that weren't their fault.
Hamilton scampered off into an easy lead, with Vettel on his own in second and then the two Williams of Massa and Bottas. Rosberg managed to overtake Perez and then undercut both Massa and Bottas at the pitstops (Williams once again showing their tactical naivety). Rosberg's hopes of chasing down Vettel ended when his power unit failed with just a few laps left, leaving his championship hopes in tatters and out of his own hands with a gap of 53 points to Hamilton.
Hamilton's win was initially in doubt after the race as the stewards deliberated over punishing the Mercedes drivers for illegal tyre presssures, but the investigation was dropped after Mercedes were able to show that the tyres were at the right pressure when fitted and the low pressure was only due to the tyres losing an unusually large amount of heat after the tyre warmers were unplugged.
Massa just held onto third place from his teammate Bottas. Raikkonen had a great recovery drive to fifth place.
The Force Indias of Perez and Hulkenburg were next in sixth and seventh respectively.
Ricciardo in the Red Bull placed eighth, overtaking Ericsson's Sauber at the final corner. Kvyat's Red Bull rounded out the points places in tenth.

With league leaders cliptheapex failing to score in Singapore, the battle for the lead is the closest it's been all year with both not606 and f1world within biting distance, less than a win separating the three forums with just six races left. Exclamation

Race recap:
The gruelling night race in Singapore can often throw up a surprise, and it was the case again this year with Mercedes losing nearly two seconds in lap pace compared to the opposition since the last Grand Prix.
Vettel dominated the race for Ferrari, controlling the race brilliantly despite two safety car periods, the first for this collision between Hulkenburg and Massa
[Image: dcd1520se403.jpg]
and the second caused by a track invader:
[Image: 2561_jpg_w_620_q_85_auto_format_sharp_10_s_87a42.jpg]
Ricciardo in second place for Red Bull was little threat to Vettel, with Vettel even backing him up at one point to help his teammate Raikkonen who came third.
Rosberg was a disappointing fourth for Mercedes, but he will be happy that he at least made up ground on his teammate and championship leader Hamilton who retired halfway into the race.
Bottas was fifth for Williams, ahead of Kvyat in the other Red Bull who was unlucky to lose places in the first round of pitstops.
Perez placed for seventh for Force India, just managing to keep ahead of the hard charging Toro Rossos of Verstappen and Sainz. Verstappen was truly amazing all weekend, with some great overtakes once again after recovering from being over a lap down after stalling on the grid. Sainz may not feel so warmly towards his teammate after Verstappen refused to follow team orders to let Sainz through.
Nasr was tenth for Sauber in the final points paying place ahead of his teammate Ericsson. The Lotuses were next, Maldonado twelfth after colliding with Button's McLaren, and Grosjean classified thirteenth although he didn't make the finish line due to gearbox problems. The Manor Marussias finished two laps down, with American debutant Alexander Rossi having a good weekend despite a crash at the end of the first practice session. Both McLarens of Alonso and Button retired with gearbox problems.

Rosberg grabbed pole position which was cut short by this huge crash by Kvyat:
Hamilton managed to overtake Rosberg into turn 2 on the opening lap, pushing Rosberg off onto the runoff and causing him to slip to fourth.
Hamilton then went on to take an easy victory to match Senna's win total. Rosberg recovered to take second place ahead of the two Ferrari's of Vettel and Raikkonen and the Williams of Bottas.
Most of the action happened in the midfield. Hulkenburg equalled his best result of the season of sixth for Force India ahead of the Lotuses of Grosjean and Maldonado. Vertsappen once again showing his overtaking skill to recover from car problems in qualifying to take ninth ahead of his teammate Sainz in tenth.

Race recap:
Mercedes seal the constructors' championship with four races to go. Hamilton looks set to claim the drivers' championship after his ninth win of the season. Rosberg was having a good weekend, taking pole and leading early on until a broken throttle pedal brought an end to his race.
Bottas in the Williams intially battled with the two Ferrari's for second place; Vettel managed to get past at the pitstop, but Bottas would battle with Raikkonen for the rest of the race.
There was some variation in the strategies thanks to a safety car for a heavy crash by Grosjean. Some drivers pitted, notably Perez and Ricciardo, while the leaders stayed out. This led to a great last few laps with Perez in third place for Force India on old tyres being chased down by Bottas and Raikkonen. Both Finns found their way passed, but then a desperate dive by Raikkonen caused a collision which brought an end to Bottas's race and heavily damaged Raikkonen's Ferrari, eventually dropping him to eighth after a 30 second penalty for the incident, and letting Perez back into third place for his fifth ever podium.
After a difficult qualifying, Massa had a good race to fourth to salvage something for Williams.
Local boy Kvyat placed fifth for Red Bull. His teammate Ricciardo retired with suspension problems.
Nasr was a great sixth for Sauber, Maldonado a quiet seventh.
Button was ninth for McLaren, his teammate Alonso initially finished tenth but was given a post race penalty for repeatedly cutting a corner to drop him out of the points.
Verstappen was tenth for Toro Rosso, recovering from a puncture from an opening lap incident caused by Hulkenburg which also brought an early end to Ericsson's race. Sainz in the other Toro Rosso had a good race from last on the grid, a big accident in practice forcing him to miss qualifying, but he eventually retired with brake failure.

Race recap:
A great race, probably race of the season with many of the drivers performing brilliantly, so go watch the highlights if you haven't seen it already!
A hurricane meant there was little running in practice and qualifying was postponed until Sunday morning and even that was cut short because of the weather.
The rain eased enough for the cars to start the race on intermediates. Rosberg was on pole but Hamilton forced his way past at the first corner, dropping Rosberg down to fourth. The red bulls coped best with the tricky conditions with Ricciardo even taking the lead. Meanwhile, the Ferraris of Vettel and Raikkonen were coming through the field after taking grid penalties for new engines.
As the track dried the Red Bulls began to struggle for pace. The battle for the win was between Vettel and the Mercedes drivers of Rosberg and Hamilton. There were several safety car periods which led to different strategy possibilities, although overall they probably didn't interfere too much with the final result. It looked as if Rosberg would take the win until an unusual mistake sent him off the track gifted Hamilton the win and sealing Hamilton's third title. Rosberg just held on to second from Vettel.
Verstappen was a great fourth again for Toro Rosso with some more amazing overtaking by the teenager. Teammate Sainz also had a good race coming from the back of the grid to seventh.
The McLarens had a competitive race with the rain meaning their engine disadvantage was less of a problem, Button placing a good sixth, but Alonso dropped out of the points with power problems towards the end of the race.
Perez was a good fifth for Force India, his teammate Hulkenburg retired after an uncharacteristic mistake when trying to overtake Riccirado, forcing Hulkenburg to retire and damaging Riccairdo's Red Bull. Ricciardo eventually finished a disappointing tenth and Kvyat in the other Red Bull crashed out.
The other points scorers were Maldonado in eighth for Lotus and Nasr ninth for Sauber.

Race recap:
Mexico returned to the F1 calendar for the first time since 1992. It is one of my favourite tracks, although they have ruined the challenge of the final corner Peraltada. The atmosphere was great with the fans packing out the huge grandstands and cheering on local hero Sergio Perez. The newly surfaced track was very slippy which helped add to the excitement.
No one could challenge Mercedes, with Rosberg taking his fourth win of the season ahead of champion Hamilton.
Ferrari had a terrible race: Vettel collided with Ricciardo at the first corner forcing Vettel to pit with a puncture and then later he crashed out by himself. Raikkonen's race ended after a collision with Bottas (possibly in retaliation to their coming together in Russia).
Bottas was undamaged in the collision and came home third for Williams:
The Red Bulls of Kvyat and Ricciardo were fourth and fifth respectively, and Massa sixth for Williams.
The Force Indias of Hulkenburg and Perez were next, with Perez doing well to hold on to eighth on old tyres.
The final points paying positions went to Verstappen in the Toro Rosso in ninth and Grosjean for Lotus in tenth.

Pob leads a 1-3 for grandprix. Thankfully, Massa's exclusion doesn't interfere too much with the league points, although if Williams appeal is successful before the final race I will modify the results accordingly.
Cliptheapex's lead is reduced to 12 points over f1world with not606 a further 4 points behind. Grandprix and ja606 also have a chance of taking the title.

Sportsbabble currently have no players qualifying to be on the end of season photo as drivers for being in the top 100 on zdkf1, but a good result by sco or stairs in the final race could still see them qualify. This year, sportsbabble will be Lotus (very good for your debut season  Thumb up ).

2  bls             not606      13
3  redfrog         f1world     13
4  pdk             f1world     12
5  greenlantern101 cliptheapex 12
6  andykarter      f1world     11

Race recap:
A boring race with little action upfront. Rosberg taking the win ahead of Hamilton for Mercedes, with the Ferraris of Vettel and Raikkonen next.
Bottas was fifth for Williams. His teammate Massa was originally eighth, but was later excluded from the results for a technical infringement.
Hulkenburg was a good sixth for Force India, he always seems to be well in Brazil.
Kvyat placed seventh for Red Bull. The Lotuses of Grosjean and Maldonado were eighth and tenth respectively; Maldonado living up to his "Crashtor" reputation after colliding with Ericsson's Sauber.
Verstappen once again gave a master class in overtaking that defied his young age on his way to ninth for Toro Rosso.
