Astros beat the Yankees in the Bronx tonight in the Wild Card Game and go on to play the Royals in the next round. Tomorrow sees the Cubs at the Pirates in the NL Wildcard game, go Cubbies!!!

Good. The Yankees are the one club I thought could pull a surprise on the Jays. Plus., they've had their share of World Series.

Get in Cubbies!!! Shut out the Pirates 4-0 behind a great pitching performance from Arrieta!! Bring on the Cards!

Arrieta was great despite getting plonked by Watson.
AL Blue jays v Rangers Royals v Astros NL Cubs v Cardinals Dodgers v Mets Game 1 v the Blue jays today Pei, 8-30 this evening for me, so will be able to watch it.
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.

You have to feel for the Pirates though, they had the second best record in baseball and get to play only one game in the post season!!! Second year in a row for them this has happened, so their frustration was clear to see during the brawl!!
Cubs v Cards will be interesting, "local" rivals, division rivals and not a lot of love lost between the clubs and fans. Cubs are probably on better form but Arieta will not be able to pitch until probably game 3 at the earliest, but at least we still have John Lester to go with.

Rangers looking good over the Blue Jays at them moment, but its only in the bottom of the 5th, so plenty of time left in this one!!
Now 4-3 to the Rangers, bottom of the 6th, should be a good finish!!

Finished 5-3 to the Rangers, big win in game one and therefore grabs home field advantage for the rest of the series!!
