My Rangers won again and are nearly there, I think 2 wins out of the last 4 games is what is required.
Only problem for the Rangers is that those last 4 games are against the Angels, one of the two teams who can still catch them!! Of course you could end up with a situation where both the Ranger and Angels beat each other up and let in the Astros!!

My Rangers have made the playoffs beating the Angels 5-3, still not tied up the division yet.

Congratulations Owlskev. Thurny, time you got on board with all this excitement. Get yourself a satellite dish, a case of beer, large packet of potato chips (oh sorry, "crisps" ) and tune in on the telly with that girlfriend of yours.

Baseball is one of those sports I enjoy watching when I'm over in the States but I can't find time for when I'm back home in Blighty. I do think it's like ODI cricket in that it has slow periods, definitely not like T20 which is more crash-bang-wallop than even Baseball.
You know nothing, Jacko

I didn't like it at first Jacko, then I got into it. The skill level is very high. The throws from fielders to base, for example, may look routine, but boy, try throwing with that speed and accuracy.
Depends on the game whether it's exciting or boring. A 15-2 game like happened the other night would have been extremely boring for the Orioles fans who were on the losing end. But, a 1-0 tightly-pitched game in which it is in the bottom of the ninth, losing side at bat, 2 outs, bases loaded and a 3-2 count on the pitcher? That's a nailbiter.
