Derby County @ Deepdale 12/9/2015
#1
Another frenetic burst of fixtures before the next International break begins with a home game against the yet to get going Derby County. Under new manager Clements they have yet to win continuing the run of form that caused them to miss out of promotion last season when it appeared to be in their grasp.

They have added well to last season squad Shackell from Burnleh, Andy Weimann from Villa which in my view is a tremendous signing, they also have now signed permanently Tom Ince from Hull.
Ince's last appearence at Deepdale was in a league cup tie with Blackpoo which we won. Ince's father was manager of the Lashers that day and described the subsequent pitch invasion as disgraceful and that6 someone could have been stabbed. Anyway young Tom wasn't and he will be in the Derby team on Saturday. Ince has decided he does not want to play for England at the moment why he thinks he is good enough is surprising, he's talented one footed and tends to disappear from games, cue a hat trick against us on Saturday.
This lot are not a bad side at all, Coldplay singer and New Zealand cricketer Chris Martin leading the line,Darren Bent, Hendrick who created the winning goal for the Republic of Ireland on Monday. The loss of Will Hughes was a blow but they have more than enough talent in the squad to cause us problems.
As for us well very interesting team selection apart from the injured Beckford, Hugill and Reid we have a very strong squad for us. Who will be up fron though Garner, May and Doyle, where is Gallagher going to play.
Third league game of the season for me and have yet to see a league goal scored could be the same on Saturday, looking forward to this one, Derby have sold 3000 tickets should be a great atmosphere and game as well.

Steep learning curve this, distinctly second best at 2 down with Russell running riot and Martin not missing. Change of formation worked in the second half may have been a different result had Garner's effort gone in off the post instead of ending up in Grant's hands. Need a bit more pace in midfield tough run of fixtures next up Bristol City
