Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window
Rednap is often being quoted in the press these days.

It seems that he still can't bear being out of the limelight and makes comments on all sorts of issues that don't really concern him.
Just wish the old bugger would put up and shut up.

Can't you do something there Bournemouth. Whistle
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

Players' union chief Gordon Taylor has accused Chelsea of "warehousing" stars and influencing competitions across Europe with 33 players out on loan. (Daily Mirror)

'Encouraging' other team's players with leaks to the media does seem to have been a feature of many a transfer window. Interestingly HR even made comments about Saido this summer suggesting that old habits might die hard!

I had the same problem, working in London, spurs tried tapping me up offered me a fortune, well cookie, but I said no, I am a baggies fan and I will not support spuds.

A scary little fact at the closing of the window. We now officially have the oldest squad in the premiership, if you discount the six academy players in the squad the average age would almost be 31 Even if you leave them in its over 27.

Well you can't win anything with kids.

Southampton are reluctant to do business with Tottenham and will not sell them Kenya midfielder Victor Wanyama, 24, next season for any price. (Telegraph)

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has warned striker Saido Berahino, 22, he needs to earn respect. (Sun -

West Brom striker Saido Berahino has returned to training after suggesting that he would never play for the club again - and could feature against Southampton on Saturday.

Berahino, 22, made the outburst on transfer deadline day after a move to Tottenham Hotspur was blocked.

But West Brom manager Tony Pulis says Berahino has since "trained well".

"We're keen to draw a line under it all and concentrate on playing football again," Pulis told the Telegraph.

The England Under-21 international was given extra time off and was due to meet Baggies officials on Monday.

Berahino was the subject of four bids from Spurs over the summer and has been left out of the team for the last three matches.

[West Brom are 15th in the Premier League table after winning just once in their opening four matches.]

That`s ok don`t bother to mention Spuds are 16th not having won any of their 4 matches...... DD Whistle Whistle

Wolves fans love to trumpet they want their club to develop and sign only young and hungry players, but look where that's got them the last six years.

I am not saying that we should have a team full of kids I am just saying we have the oldest squad in the Premiership and I would argue that because of the pace of the game at this level a squad with an average age of 31 is going to struggle a bit more than a squad with an average age of say 28.  Ok we have signed two players under 27 but unless we want this constant 6 or 7 in and out every summer window we need to think to the future a little more.  Luckily I think the club are thinking the same way judging by Garlick's comments at the academy
