Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window
JP statement "We have pushed our spending on new players as far as we can" so we had no intent to bring in anyone else then? Remember earlier statements about needing more players from both TP and JP along side the statement SB is not for sale, so was not counting on that cash.

What Mystifies me now is that we had a deal for Sako in place but put it on hold because we had better winger targets #baffled ......
And he was on a free FFS !!!!!!

What a let down,
Nobody signed today and Lescott gone.
Berahino is the new Odemwingie. Let him rot for the remainder of his contract.
Seriously unhappy after today which could not have gone any worse.

That's also probably a contributing factor why Spurs didn't put the cash up front - because someone with his level of professionalism is a big gamble.

Sadly, we live in an age of unprofessional, disruptive morons who usually get exactly what they want.  Raheem Sterling, Mario Balotelli, Carlos Tevez, Yaya Toure and his birthday cake.  Even Odemwingie got his way in the end.  "Greed is good", and all that jazz.

When Saido's tantrum is over I think (hope) Pulis will go with:

Lindegaard
Dawson - McAuley - Evans - Brunt
Fletcher - Yacob
McManaman - Morrison - Berahino
Rondon

GK - Foster, Myhill
DEF - Chester, Olsson, Gamboa, Pocognoli
MID - Gnabry, McClean, Gardner, Sessegnon
ATK - Lambert, Anichebe

Still looks a stronger squad than last year.

how many times have players for various clubs looked dead in the water then an injury, a suspension etc they get a chance because of necessity, they play well and their career is resurrected ....... Maybe Poco can be one of those.

On reflection, it's been a terrible window for whatever reason, Rondon being the only sort of surprise signing, what's more disappointing is seeing the ones who got away, Sako especially, Phillipps, Antonio, too many more to mention who got me thinking "yes, I'd like to see him down the Albion" - I'd have even taken Jarvis on loan just for a bit of spark, instead he's gone to a relegation rival
