Funny how we all see things differently but that is the beauty of this forum.
For me, MAF was far better than Sicknote who, in my opinion, is a donkey. Nice donkey but a donkey nevertheless.
Same with Pulis. Many on here think he's a saint with the sun shining out of his arse but for me, he's the anti-Christ of football. Bet he's got 666 tattooed somewhere ! That said, many on here are now having second thoughts on the Messiah.

Couldn't trap a bag of cement, couldn't pass and couldn't strike the ball cleanly if he was more than 5 yards out. The guy had plenty of effort and was reasonable in the air, but I'm a stickler for player being able to do the basics of controlling the ball and passing to someone in the same colour shirt, which he wasn't very good at.
I'm one of the few (seemingly) who would be sad to see Anichebe go though. Although he's often injured, I think he has something to offer as a squad player, particularly an impact sub.
Agree with everything here, Slick. Hasn't Anichebe scored one of the most amounts of goals coming of the bench in BPL history (after Hernandez)? I do think we can definitely do better than him though

You don't always have to be such a pedant Baggieman Anichebe does have one of the best records as a substitute in the premier league. Whether that makes him a good enough player is another debate.

I hope they are sure of this deal going through as the moral of the players would be rock bottom if it doesn't.

£5m for Glenn Murray? Football is getting ridiculous.
Would Phillips be your first choice ?
Out of all of the current targets that have been rumoured, then yes, as Phillips can play both as the winger or through the middle as a playmaker who runs at the defence like Sess.
I'd have liked to have seen us get Sako from the dingles as, on a free, he would have been a very good option as he is showing at Palace. Also, Antonio from Forest would have been a good signing as he scores goals from the wing, but Phillips edges it for me due to the versatility I mentioned above.
In an ideal world we would have got a quality winger, as well as a specialist playmaker like Praet who was linked but as I said at the time wouldn't have been a Pulis choice. But with less than 24 hours left I think Phillips hits two birds with one stone and tbh may be the only player we manage to bring in.
