Is this a case of a back up If Saido goes to Spurs
Or even part of a deal if he goes to Man Utd  Smartass

Saido and Ideye look to be going today / tomorrow. If they do then Austin and Wilson will be reasonable replacements along with Philips coming as well from QPR.

If that all falls into place I'll be a very happy bunny.

West Brom have signed goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard on a two-year deal from Manchester United.

The 31-year-old has joined on a free transfer and told the Baggies website: "Since moving to England I've been impressed with how well West Brom have done in the Premier League.

"I had a good chat with Tony Pulis and he convinced me it would be a good move for me and the club. From there things moved very quickly. I was very keen to get it done so I can just concentrate on the thing that matters most, the football."

Should be a solid enough signing, there's debate over whether we'll have done all the business we needed to do by the end of the window but I do think the standard of the signings so far is reasonable on paper.

Brown Ideye - going: West Brom and Olympiacos have agreed a deal for the permanent transfer of Brown Ideye, according to Sky sources.

No details on the fee yet but Ideye joined the Baggies in 2014 in a deal thought to be worth around £10m

Austin highly likely if Saido goes from what I've been told.

Personally, I don't think striker should be our main target at that sort of money, given that our midfield is about as creative as a shoe box. I like Jedinak and see him as an improvement on Yacob, but surely we need a play making box to box central midfielder.

Brown Ideye has gone to Olympiakos according to Sky, no fee mentioned.

Sorry to see Brown Ideye sold. Head says he wasn't good enough but heart saw a player who gave 100% every time he pulled on the shirt.
Good luck Bobby in the Champions league.

Now want an attacking midfielder or at least a midfielder who can provide service to our strikers. Also want a LB (maybe Enrique).

Would have liked to have kept him, as you say he always gave 100%. Wondering if we will need a replacement if Anichebe goes as well. I guess it depends on what happens with Saido.

Got a funny feeling Charlie Austin may be coming even if we keep Berahino.
Fingers crossed !
