Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window

Aries,
Salop beat me to it ! Looks like everything was agreed with Sako but put on hold. Gnabry signed the next day so it looks to me that Sako was down the list on targets maybe ?
It's a bit frustrating but most business will be done close to transfer deadline when moves to 'bigger' clubs don't materialise and we come back into play. Fingers crossed !

Sako was never going to get £80,000 a week wherever he went, and I'll be amazed if he's even on half that at Crystal Palace. Good luck to him, but we can find equally good (proven Championship-quality) players for £15-£20,000 a week.

Really hope that Phillips will sign Aries.
If not then Antonio from Forest or most likely somebody not mentioned. Thought Macmanamen and McLean looked good yesterday and Gnabry could also fit in well.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are closing in on a £2.5million move for West Bromwich Albion defender Joleon Lescott.

The latest report claims Villa would be delighted to offer the 33-year-old the chance to play for the club he supported as a boy, and that they are merely waiting on the Baggies to finalise the transfer of a replacement before making yet another addition to Tim Sherwood’s squad.

Just what is it with Saido?

Every man & his dog knows it's going to happen within 7 days anyway, but still he has to lose the respect and well wishes I had for him up until an hour ago.

Young man you need to learn when to keep your trap shut and let things take their natural inevitable course.

What have you achieved by handing in a transfer request ? Do you really think you can force JP's hand by doing it ?

Clearly a massive chip on those young shoulders and one that the bright lights of London will only increase.

Yesterday was thanks for the goals and all the best - today is good riddance - once we get what we want for you, and hopefully JP will hold out for every penny of £25M.

Rant over Thumb up

Aymen Bomber! There is no loyalty in football, we should all realise this, long gone are the days of true service & commitment! Can't fault him wanting to better himself and earn more money (hippy crack is expensive) but his conduct is p!$$ poor and he is being badly advised by those around him. Lets get £25mil, go and get a couple more and start building for the new season! Thanks Saido now F*** off please!

He will flop at SPurs and if I'm honest, you wouldnt have been able to keep Saido, Lambert and Rondon happy anyways.

he wasnt exactly Pacey, I'd cash in, get a creative midfielder and the wingers and use Rondon as the main striker!

Some of you are overreacting, he'll play a fair amount for spurs and he wants to push the move through so he's gave in a transfer request. I'm not saying he's right but he clearly felt that this would make the move more likely and he probably knows it won't force or guarantee anything. I'd prefer to keep him and he put a shift in for both the games this season so I hope he'd still play well if he's forced to stay. If he goes as we expect I'd wish him all the best and I hope some of you would too. *turns phone off to avoid incoming disagreement.
