There is no way we gave Fazio a medical before discussing personal terms, either they moved the goalposts or we pulled out as a better option (Evans?) became available. If not it is probably the most amateur thing the football club could have done and a massive waste of time.

Totally agree. I always think the medical should come last.

David Sullivan quickly issued a second statement backtracking on his first statement (in which he queried whether Charlie Austin had any knee ligaments at all). Dingle-Dingle posted the relevant BBC link a couple of pages back.

Notice Bakary Sako was Man of the Match Palace v Villa scoring on his debut.
Have we missed a free transfer trick here?

Depends who we get in that was obviously ahead of him in TP's list doesn't it ?
Am thinking Phillips & Antonio are 2 ahead of him and that's why after his medical we didn't sign him.

Baggie Man, Sako, or his agent, came to us and said he wanted £80,000 a week. No way, Jose. One goal for Palace doesn't make him worth half that.
Squirrel, did we actually give Sako a medical? If so, do you have a link to any Press article to the fact? I'll be amazed if we did. Mind you, given what's happened with Federico Fazio, I shouldn't really be surprised.
