...the same as it is every year, to be honest.

Which is why we keep getting relega....oh wait !

With Yacob,Fletcher,Gardner & Morrison already at the club signing Diaby poses little to no risk in my opinion use him sparingly & keep him fit and we'll have a top top player

Is he better than mulumbu? Good player but other positions are priorities right now

I think he's better than Mulumbu, definitely on Mulumbus form of the past year or 2.

It's just if you can keep him fit. Give him a deal where he has a small wage and a bigger pay as you play bonus / deal and as it's little risk, I would be happy.

By all accounts there a few overseas clubs after Diaby; not seen any other PL clubs mentioned so let's hope he wants to stay over here.
As we all know we've done pretty well in the past with a few players who'd been written off by injuries - pretty hopeful about this one....he's a class act IMO  Thumb up

Great to see that Boaz has signed another 2 year deal, by the way.
Hennessey? Who's Hennessey?? Confused

Good finisher & Great in the air (check out the Video if you get 5 mins)

You're just teasing me.

I stay very chilled most of the summer because I know we do our dealings behind closed doors and have to be realistic about where we are in the pecking order e.g. we don't pay over the odds and so always watch others splash the cash in a high risk manner.

Also I don't get too concerned about 'fitting into the squad'. A footballers fitness level will be very good assuming he is in a squad somewhere and was not released at the end of the season and has had a summer of excesses. Club tactics might play a part in getting 'up to speed' - but basically it's; block it and get it out of the danger zone and over 'ere on me head - stuff!

That said, with a few weeks to go until the season starts, I am now getting a little anxious. I think we will get Lambert and Hennessey very soon and then its a case of who else we unearth in the next few weeks.

Keeping the faith, as ever  Cool

...still can't for the life of me understand why we're after a 3rd keeper, unless either Fozzie or Boaz are off. Fozzie is obviously a top class act, Boaz just ain't too far behind that if at all, and is also extremely patient. What more could we wish for in that department??  Huh

It's cos Foster is injured so we want back up/competition for Myhill until Foster is back.
....but Foster's back in October - we surely don't want 2 top class back up keepers? I would've  thought a loan IF NECESSARY would be the obvious option

So, Hennessey WOULD have been 3rd choice? Doubt if he would have been that happy with that.

Diaby. Are we saying that our sports science dept would be able to sort something that Arsenal's couldn't? I doubt it very much.

He would need till Christmas just to catch up....if he could stay fit that long. We only have to look at Big Vic....a good 'run' for him is 3 games.

Tidy, re Diaby - I'm sure we'll do our homework and make a judgement accordingly. Remember Giles Barnes, whose career was over before we signed him?

Over the last couple of seasons I've become friends with a group of Arsenal fans & meet up each season this is a couple of things they've said about Diaby when i asked them in a group message:

"When he was fit and played he could brilliant,The answer to a lot of Arsenals problems"

"He could control a game, superb"

"Everyone said he was the new Viera but i think he had more than that but he never real got going through injuries"

"Good touch,Quick feet & could take players on"

"If he stayed fit he could of been as good as Yaya Toure"
