Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window
From what I've seen Palace fans are a bit upset that they've let Hennessey go so I'm not too concerned about the money. I think Myhill will be off in Jan.

Still need about 5/6 players (probably more but I think we'll sign about 6).

Us, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Watford are supposedly in for Gareth Mcleary.

I wouldn't be delighted or distraught with him, but I'd like us to aim higher.

There is no logic in replacing Boaz with Wayne Hennessey.

WH is favoured slightly ahead of Boaz internationaly but not £3.5m ahead.... Angry

...plus, Myhill is one of the main reasons we are lining up in the Prem again this year.

Re Wayne Hennessey: Albion still have an interest but told there have been no fresh talks & no bid. Other areas are priorities. #wba #wbafc

Phew, should have known Pulis would have his priorities straight. Coming from Madeley as well who is in Orlando and has direct contact with Pulis, I trust his information way more than Bill Howell and the Mail who just copy things they have seen on twitter or in other rags - really gone downhill since Lepkowski left.

I have got to say that so far I am so Underwhelmed again. Not really moaning as I Know we will hopefully make some decent signings BUT we were led to believe that this take over would not affect signings and so far IT HASN'T because we are always the same, miss out on what are bargains and panic into buying what we don't need. Doh

Getting bored with it all now, log on every day to this thread and the takeover thread and nothing changes.

As for Hennessey, I'd rather have BOAZ as he earned us a lot of points last season and was outstanding.

This is the first time I have been on for a while - doing other things - but as Worldclassalbion has said, I too have been checking the bbc iplayer to see what we have done that day, and nothing, One player. Then see Stoke and others are signing player after player.

Hope its not going to be a mad rush as last year to get players, who look good on paper only.

Come on Pulis we are all anxious - reason - the team we had last year won't get better than 8th in the league - haha - and we want 7th.

Some of the players we are being linked with and supposed made bids for are far more underwhelming than teams around us are signing. Was going to say it's still early days, but the season starts in around 3 weeks!!! Slightly beginning to panic

Without being stupid about it we need to put up or shut up for some of these targets its well known that UK based players are over-priced so i don't get these silly offers we are making which won't ever get accepted, The Forest owner has no intention of selling Antonio and rate him highly yet we offer £5M its becoming extremely annoying now i hope we have 4th & 5th choice signings to fall back on cause as it stands we are going round in circles

Agree this is a total waste of time. Forest have already said that they are not going to sell because they are unable to bring in new players. Why don't we just pay the going rate for Phillips and move onto getting some full backs and a striker or two into the club.

Not impressed with Hennessey - He was rubbish when he was on loan at Yeovil!

Getting really frustrated, I stupidly thought things were going to be different this summer!

Boing Boing from a grumpy Somerset!
