Lazy journalism by our local boys? looks like they've just picked up on the Mirror story, Looks like a local journo in Nottingham said there had been no contact.

"Nixon say's no contact been made for Antonio from #WBA last contact 2 months back and was told to "Go away" #NFFC hope it stays that way!"

Not sure what to think  Smile

I'll be happy with that. I don't have issues with where folk have played before. So long as they commit when they are here

I have no problem where anyone has played either but it is a bit of a slap in the mouth for Boaz who I think came up trumps when Foster got injured.  If anything I feel we should be looking for an understudy to Myhill, someone who would be happy to drop to number 3 when BF is fit again.  The alternative is Foster or Myhill will be away and I can't say I would blame them as both are potential first choice keepers, to have 3 number ones is overkill.

Yes we have a need for a back up to Myhill, but at present we have positions where any transfer kitty we may have is needed far more, unless the club are worried about BF's recovery!!

So the latest press rumours are this is one of the strikers we are very interested in, but £10 million for an 18 year old???

There has been a lot of talk about buying wingers but very little about full backs.

Looks like Sess had a visa problem. Now sorted and travelling tomorrow

That would be his recent drink-drive conviction. The USA (and Australia) like to know about criminal records before letting people in.

Quite right Aries me old mucka.....

When completing an ESTA application that allows you to travel to the USA, one of the questions asked is; 'Have you ever been arrested' which, of course Sess has for the drink drive offence. That said, an arrest for a crime of such nature would not preclude the granting of an ESTA for minor matters such as this. To be excluded one would have to have committed a far more serious crime such as being a Dingle.

Similar thing happened with Jonathan Greening when Forest booked a pre-season tour to the U.S. Interestingly however, is why Saido wasn't delayed for the same reason UNLESS of course, Sess is a closet Dingle !

I don't understand why we need to spend £3.5m on Hennessey.

Its stupid spending £3.5m on Hennessey, we already have 2 keepers that are capable first-choice players and our budget doesn't stretch very far as it is - wasting a chunk of it on a 3rd keeper is unnecessary. Now we will have to sell Myhill/Foster in January as well because there is no way all three of them will be happy. Imo, Jack Rose would have been better used as a back up until Foster returns, or at the worst get someone in on a free for a season like we did with Lee Camp.

As for Embolo, the kid is one of the highest rated teenagers in world football - if we've missed out on the likes of Ba, Gignac and Austin then I would take a punt on Embolo over the predictable 'plan B' options like Carlton Cole and Jonathan Walters every day of the week.
