Amazing start to the final. USA 4-0 up after 16 minutes.

Yes indeed. Best team of the tournament won. Some of the play last night was outstanding. Can you imagine the fuss this morning if Messi had scored a ten minute hat trick, completing it within a goal from the halfway line?
This whole thing has been a joy to watch and not just because our girls did well.

The women's game is ok to watch. The skill, desire, competitiveness is all there, lacks a bit of quality at times but for me what is really missing is real game changing pace!! Is seems most of the women can run about as fast as each other, no one really stands out as having that electrifying pace to truly beat a player. Plus the pace of the games overall is slow a lot of the time. I hope they get the next WC back onto real grass as well, still not a fan of these artificial pitches at this level.

Goalkeepers are still rubbish too, but there's a lot more quality in the build up than there used to be.

I'd watch this given a choice between England's women or men's team. Or that premier league shite.

Not for me, if you figure these are the best 11 players from each country, then the league teams in those countries must have a lot of poor players in them!! I struggle to watch MLS over here and that is miles ahead of the women's game but in turn is miles behind the Premier League in terms of quality!!

One day maybe it will be like tennis is, where the women's game can be as good as the mens, but until there is more parity among the teams then too many games will be completely one sided.

Premier League is so boring though. England's men are unwatchable. I hate the atmosphere of these games. I hate the greed. I hate the overblown hype surrounding it. I hate the cheating. The so called gamesmanship. I hate the know all punters. I hate the pathetic tribalism that goes with men's football.
The Women's World Cup was nice. Smile

I watched the Women's World Cup and it was refreshing to watch because these Ladies played for glory and pride and not for money. They showed more grit, determination and passion than all of the England men's team and they played with a real team spirit and they were all equals and had no egos. The reason why certain people have fallen in love with the Women's team is because they aren't overpaid primma donnas they are just normal down to earth people like everyone else. Ok the skill might not be that great but they make up for it with there passion and determination. There was no cheating from the England Women's team or diving and they didn't blame Laura Bassett for scoring that own goal because they won as a team and lost as a team.

Too many people are comparing the Women's team to the Men's team of course it's going to be different. The Men's team have top notch facilities and they train everyday at there Premier League clubs whereas the Women don't have that they have a full-time or part-time job and play football part-time and the wage gap will be massive.

I for one I'm proud of the England Ladies as they are the best European team in the World.
