That's a fair point.

Well, I saw last night's SOCCER game and so far, the US is the best team i've seen. I hate to admit because I'm Canadian through and through and there's rivalry between our two countries.. But if England do beat Japan (ha. ha. as much chance of walking on water), they'll get mauled by this well organized team that have a potent offence.
Speaking of Canada, it's perfectly alright for people on here to wish me a HAPPY CANADA DAY. Because: It is the best country in the world!!!!!

Women's Football in the US is so far ahead of anywhere else!!! At youth level more girls play football than any other sport, so with the infrastructure and college system they will always be one of the better nations. If football keeps growing for the boys then I think we will see the same relative quality coming through for the US Mens team as well over the next couple of decades.
As Pei said, I don't think England would stand a chance against the US but unlike Pei I will be rooting for them to at least try to beat the odds against Japan and then the USA!!! And Happy Canada Day Pei!!

I thought Morgan, Rapinoe and Lloyd were all excellent for the US.
I am quite fond of Hope Solo mind you. One could say that the missed penalty by Germany and the fact that a red card probably should have been issued to the US were game changers, but that would diminish the fact that apart from the first 15 mins or so the US were much the better team and deserved the win. Women's SOCCER also very strong on Canada, SCO, but we don't have the population that you do so it's understandable we have our work cut out to be competitive. Didn't do bad though. Think I'll switch from cheering for Japan to the US now. Hope Solo, you know.
