Leicester sack manager Nigel Pearson
#1
Leicester have sacked boss Nigel Pearson because of what they describe as "fundamental differences" between the manager and the club's owners.

A shock that strangely makes sense.

Nearly sacked last Xmas wasnt it the owners son who begged for him to be kept? I think Pearson will now walk into a bigger job having done so well the second hlaf of the season, he seemed to be building slowly but surely although his forward line didnt always match its outlay

Sam Allardyce the big rumour, can LCFC afford him? Wouldnt be pretty but would keep them up

The big question with Pearson is were the first three quarters of the season a true reflection, or the glorious final quarter?

I've my doubts whether a bigger club will be willing to shackle itself to such a loose cannon ........ at least until they are in the bottom three with half the season gone.

Is it more to do with differences of opinion about Pearson's son? Until that was mentioned I was surprised at the decision being made now. I could have understood it 3 months before the end of the season but he redeemed himself.  However,  if he has defended the disgraceful behaviour of his son, I get why he's gone. It'll probably come out in the wash.

It very much looks like it's to do with the tosspot behaviour of the son then.

This has to be as a result of the sacking of his son for the tape that surfaced while the team was over there. Its one thing to behave like that in the first place, its a whole different issue for the clubs owners when it happened in their home town on a goodwill tour of their country!!! I can't imagine Pearson defended his sons actions that vigorously but maybe the owners felt just the association to him was enough to cause them embarassment and shame!!

What is more confusing is the club is selling a player without a manager there and yet bidding 12m for a player without the manager there

I work with lots of LCFC fans and the deluded lot believe they are getting Jurgen Klopp, they didnt look too pleased when I said more like Klippity Klopp

Neil Lennon and Guus Hiddink apparently the top bets at the moment to take over
