I managed to find sausage rolls as a starter in an Irish Bar we went to in San Diego last night!!!! Great find and very nice as well!!

you only get sludge at the bottom if you dunk too long or try the impossible "double dunk". I'd like to think I'm a master biscuit dunker
never tried dunking a sausage roll into soup. Will give it a go later in the week

I thought puff and flaky pastry were the same thing??
Short crust is the alternative to flaky!

There's always a slightly sweaty sausage roll in the heated cabinet in favourite sandwich shop. I've been tempted a few times, but never took the plunge.

Puff and flakey pastries are different .
Flakey has a layer of butter after each fold whereas puff puts the butter in all in one go at the first fold
