Transfer Window Definition:
There are two transfer windows in each Barclays Premier League season.
·       The first starts at midnight on last day of the closing season and ends 31 August if a working day - or, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.
·       The second starts at midnight on the 31 December and ends 31 January if a working day, and again, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.

Loans (Temporary Transfers):
·       Only 2 season long loans are possible from other domestic leagues (and only 1 from any given club).
·       But they can have limitless International loans
·       In the Premier League, players on loan are not permitted to play against the team which holds their registration (section 7.2 of rule M.6).
·       Loanees are, however, allowed to play against their 'owning' clubs in cup competitions, unless they have played for their owning club in that cup during that season.
·       Temporary transfers can be made permanent outside of the transfer windows

Home Grown Player: A player who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or The Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of 3 seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21) and for the purposes of this definition of “Home Grown Player” a season will be deemed to commence on the date on which the first transfer window closes and expire on the date of the final league match of the season

Disclaimer: Guys, this is just a collection of what I have seen and read. It is not necessarily the truth or indeed all of the data out there.

After losing a chunk of this thread I have started a clean version with no conversation history. From now on I will create a thread per season e.g. This one will encompass the 015/16 Summer and January Transfer windows only.

I had to find and grab an old version to repost. I thought I had updated all the data. But inevitably there would be one or two that get through. Ideye was almost out on loan at the end of the January window remember - corrected now and thanks for the spot.

They finished below us. Absolutely no chance, we'll keep him for one more season imo.

Neil Taylor signed a 4 year contract at Swansea earlier on today so we can cross him off the list

The Daily Mail is reporting our possible interest in the West Ham striker Nene.

Considering that he is being released by the Shammers as not considered good enough; should we be really be looking at a 33 year old striker who can't cut the mustard with another Premiership team??? Doh

I'd love us to go out and bring down the age of an already aging squad but why do we always seem to be linked with players 30+ i should know better than to believe any of these stories but i can already see us having another poor window (again)
