In all seriousness, I ask that this gets put behind us as we hopefully move forward into a new exciting chapter in SWFC's history!!!  One that hopefully will see this sort of argument redundant as we will not be needing to sign anymore players of Nuhiu's quality!!!  In all fairness we are arguing over very little, something that should be the domain of our blunt friends with their current situation!!  Lets try to move forward into the DC era with a clean slate and whole new outlook!!!

Yes, you missed the point completely - some like him, some don't but I think just about everyone agrees that he certainly isn't good enough if we are to challenge for the prem!!!

On that note I saw a rumor that we had made a bid for Sam Clucas at Chesterfield.  No idea what the bid might have been but he is still only 24 and has scored a few goals but is probably no better a prospect than Bus/May/Lavery/Keane.  Maybe its just an iron in the fire if Plan A-D doesn't come off.

Just trying to get a reaction, SCO. I agree with what you've written. Back then, I was the one who "hadn't run a business," then later I used the "N" word in a less than flattering way. Something happened with imre in between. I forget. Am I a s**t disturber? Nah. Just like a bit of banter.

No   it was the way you used the 'N' word to belittle other posters views and question their intelligence even though most/all of them agreed he was/is a shit goal scorer but could see little alternatives in our squad and the system the manager adopted and refused to change.

I stand by what I said about Mr N. With SG's formations and rigid tactics Mr N was the best option (not the best player) that the manager was willing to play. 

And while ever you keep bringing it up I will stand by my opinion too 

Saw this last night, found it unbelievable, decided to sleep on it. As thurny pointed out in one of his posts, I abandoned ship on here a few weeks ago as a regular poster.  Did come back from time to time with the odd post in response to people wondering where I was. When consilio and thurny (I think) asked me to come back on line, and having received several off line comments from SCO that I have something valuable to contribute on here, I took you all at your word. But, coming back, apparently in Maddix's eyes, means no leg-pulling, harmless banter, watching one's ps and qs. I have to be very careful what I say about Nuhiu because Maddix is going to take everything seriously and want to re-hash the whole damned business again.

Let's get a few things straight. I was only engaging in harmless fun, never meant to be taken seriopusly. It's called leg-pulling. If Mr "M" can't see that, it's his problem not mine. In response to my return, I'm supposed to put up with nonsense such as the scurrilous accusation that I "belittle other posters views and question their intelligence." Absolute crap. The most I ever did was make a remark that it was "like talking to a brick wall." I apologized for that, which is more than Maddix has done. I guess that's because in his world everything is black and white. I was totally in the wrong and when he said I was "talking shit" this was just a bit of fun, or maybe he forgot he had made that remark.

So I am a guy who doesn't mind being referred to as an "old goat" (even made a parody of it via my avatar), even took it on the chin when a similar comment about my wife was made (ok imre, I took it as a joke because you're not a "nasty" kind of bloke), have taken it all in stride with granny porn innuendos, even a recent comment about my withering balls (proud of them btw). I can take self deprecating humor.

But, if my being on here means that I have to be so bloody careful not to upset Maddix (did he not see that the signature I had penned with the heart in it-now removed- was meant as a joke??) then what's the point?

Seems to me that I'm  no longer the problem. Maddix needs to learn how to discern between harmless banter and vindictiveness, how to accept an apology and move on, and dare I say it, take ownership of his part in a disagreement and issue an apology himself.

And incidentally, at least on this side of the Atlantic, if I want to say that a sports player is bloody useless I have that right. As far as the Maple Leafs are concerned, the whole team stinks.

Yes, I'm still upset about one or two things you've posted (and some things you've forgotten that you posted) and now say is 'banter' but I'm willing to draw a line and believe it was 'banter'. And nobody EVER said you didn't have a right to say a sports player is bloody useless. They just upheld their right to disagree with your opinion (we actually agreed that he is useless but couldn't see an alternative within the squad) but that's taboo.

I REPEAT   NOBODY ON THIS SITE EVER SAID THAT 'N' WAS ANY GOOD
