pundits are saying 170 will be enough. i still dont think so. its day three, 2 and a bit days to get 170, would look simple, i'd be saying 200-250 and you may have a chance.
England's tour of the West Indies 2015.

at least it should have answered the problems that moores should have seen.
cook-fine trott- not an opener by any stretch of the imagination ballance- good and dogged bell- fairweather player really now root-future of england ali- thrown back too soon after injury, should never have been considered stokes- third fourth seamer and counter attacker buttler- batting too low jordan- cant be in the same team as stokes broad- bowling wellish, but might as well bat with a drumstick anderson- too reliant on him lyth- moores and cook must still be thinking about him rashid- not really rated by moores and cook treds- bowls well, but a containing bowler, cant get a game at kent in div 2 which is problem wood- again inexperienced and moores and cook dont like that bairstow- probably wont get many chances plunkett- cooks ideal bowler so why isnt he playing, probably because of broad back at home you have woakes who is again a 3rd 4th seamer, robson who got runs yesterday but has major technical flaws amongst others

Hundred partnership from Blackwood and Bravo and they're almost there.
Bravo out with four runs required. West Indies win by 5 wickets

hold fire the media will be getting the carving knives out. mainly due to what graves said about the west indies. i hope that man has some ideas that will help, because he hasn't started well in my opinion.
as for the playing and coaching, we have to kick sentiment into touch, australia are, SA are, thats why they win. We also have to be willing to change the team, it isnt football where constant changing hinders the team, in cricket you can take players out if they dont suit conditions. Ali, trott and one of jordan or stokes should have made way for rashid, plunkett and lyth. its all fair saying its hindsight, but lets face it, the coaching staff are always one step behind

Very true, jjamez. This wasn't just the West Indies we've lost to. It's the West Indies reserves!
How on earth are we going to win the Ashes back? Hindsight, as you say, is all fair and well, but all the experts were saying don't open with Trott. Get Lyth in. Looking a very weak England team at the moment. Weird how the Aussies and South African can put out strong squads year after year with only slight dips in performance.
England have a purple patch for 24 months then 3-4 years of decay and rebuild.

Its okay saying windies reserves, but who were they missing?
Another day, another door, another high, another low

Well Chris Gayle for a start, but I guess he's moved on from test cricket. There were some good performances from this new side. The boy Blackwood looks good.
The future looks bright for them. |
