Pitching on Four Fronts

It seems like a strange way of funding the parachute payments anyway. If you consider only the clubs involved in the playoff, one of 2 things can happen. Either the Premiership club is relegated, in which case they receive support payments partly taken from the pockets of 2 Championship clubs, or the Premiership club stays up, in which case other parachute payments are funded from the pockets of 3 Championship clubs.

For Hibs last season and Motherwell this season it's well worth letting fans in for free because if they stay up they earn top flight money the next season, and if they go down they're guaranteed a payout anyway. Rangers are in a position where we risk losing gate money and will get no pay out for not going up. Hibs were therefore allowed to decrease the pot of cash available at no risk to themselves, while it seems we are, yet again, to be treated inequitably when, unlike Hibs, we are not in a position to increase the cash burden on the football authorities.

And dare I say it, where is the 'sporting integrity' in allowing one club to boost its attendance to help its chances of staying up, but not to allow the same to others? In line with their other recent actions I fully expect official objections from both Hibernian and Hearts to any attempt to prevent Rangers allowing season ticket holders to attend for free.

It would be rather hypocritical of Hibs if they made any attempt to prevent this from happening considering they themselves are the precedent that Rangers are using!! Also, no reason for Hearts to even get involved as it doesn't affect them at all!!

I don't think Hibs would try to stop us doing it, but I think it would be just as hypocritical of them to do any less than officially complain if the SPFL tries to stop it. As for Hearts, there's no reason for them to get involved but that didn't stop them complaining about the last day fixture switch even though it had no real impact on them.

If it's ticket money they want: sell burgers for £10 with a voucher for a £1 ticket. SPFL can then have their 50p from each brief.

If we try anything like that they'll hammer us for some trumped up charge - bringing the game into disrepute or some shite like that.

They need the Blue Pound far too much to let our club treat its fans with respect, and they'll do whatever they can to get it. The onlyvway they won't is if there's a mass boycott of the games, and we know that won't happen.

Just another example of Scottish Football's absolute and utter dependence on Rangers.

The whole situation is trumped up as it is. As far as I can see there's no rule breached by giving season ticket holders free access to the game/s.

It looks like worst case scenario we can set the charges. 1p a ticket £10 a programme non season ticket holders.

The way we're going we'll only have the one home game anyway, and the desperate SPFL will have to get their filthy lucre somewhere else.

Probably fine Rangers for not winning or something equally ludicrous.

Its shocking! As El Car put it nothing changes, the only satisfaction i can garner from not going up is they will still struggle to raise revenue for that division.
