I watch the first 10-20 mins of a programme before I decide its any good. If its a film then I will watch several trailers and read reviews and decide myself if its any good.

Doing rather nothing to dispel the notions people make about me and Scott Baio, I'm awaiting delivery of this little beauty.

Can't judge it on the first 10-20 mins then either. Many programmes are slow to grip you.

I have been watching The New Statesman on YouTube. Rik Mayall was a comedy genius.

All time favourite TV series in no particular order.

The brilliantly funny Pheonix Nights, great comedy that nothing even comes close to beating.

An old classic Auf Wiedersehen Pet, who would have thought a programme about a building site would become such a big hit with the nation.

One from over the border now, Still Game. Pensioners behaving badly basically. Stumbled across it on BBC 2 and was so impressed I went and ordered the box set.

Current viewing on the TeleBox/DVD catchup are

Fortitude, a bit slow going

Breaking Bad, I'm on to series 3 but have had to put the breaks on while I allow Mitzi to catch up

Marco, your reputation has soared in my estimation. Soap must be the best ever American comedy. At the time, it was very cutting edge and the characters were so over the top, plus it brought Billy Crystal and Benson, the butler, to the nation's attention. As is usual, I did tire of it after a few years, as it lost it's bite and started to tail off a bit, but it could never hope to keep up the standard of the early days. You should be all right with Season 3.
Cabbage is still good for you
