According to local radio, Chris Powell is once again the favourite for the job. Surely we will have a decision by the time we are back from the international break?
Billy Davies, Chris Hughton, and Owen Coyle are definitely out of the running.

I think it's a wise choice under the circumstances. We were never going to get a big name, were we? The last big name we got was Bruce, which after the initial good start, ended disastrously. And before that it was Malcolm MacDonald, one of the biggest names in the game at the time.
That went well.
Powell was manager of the year two years ago and we were all saying when they beat us to end our glorious unbeaten run that he had out played Lee Clark in the tactical battle.

All signed up!
Powell seems a nice guy but I knew this already! Jury out but he deserves a chance and who knows what will happen.

You have to do a full reply rather than just in the box at the bottom. There is a suggestion box on the front page. You can request features that you want there, jimbo.

everything i have heard is he is a manager with some tactical nous ( although out thinking Lee Clark is hardly something to brag about) and also an excellent man manager who commands respect and demands effort
sounds like just what we need
