Well noticed, Snooty.

I was looking at the i-Player Curling schedules and you were obviously looking at the Beeb Sports website.
Anyway, Canada absolutely thumped China 11-2 after 8 ends, so they have something to show for their efforts. They scored 5 shots in the 4th end and 2 shots in the 5th end and that was that.

After an intriguing tactical game with some great stones from both teams, Scotland left with theĀ Gold Medal, beating Switzerland by 5-4 with a last stone draw from Bruce Mouat. Once again the Scots were beaten in the percentage stakes in every position, but a combination of experience and confidence in playing the big shots made all the difference. It's well past my bedtime, but I'll be back later with some more comments and a photo or two.

You believed, Snooty, I didn't. I've never been so glad to be wrong twice in two days with my predictions -
Scotland and
Hibs. Anyway, my job here is not to let you get big-headed.
Here's a photo I've "stolen" (I prefer to call it "spreading the word") from the World Curling website, complete with credits.
Bruce Mouat, Grant Hardie, Bobby Lammie, Hammy McMillan and Kyle Waddell
Medallists
GOLD - Scotland
SILVER - Switzerland
BRONZE - Canada
The additional Olympic Qualifying teams are Czechia, Germany, Italy, Norway and Sweden.
