we don't even know that chelsea and arsenal are pissed off with us ffs Doh it's all guess work
all I'm saying is that if we're playing players because we're scared of the other club getting all menstrual about it then we're doing it wrong Thumb up

for what it's worth, I thought Baker looked promising but we signed McGugan and anyone who says we should be playing Baker over McGugan wants their head checking because they're losing it quicker than imre was on Tuesday night

Maybe he thought he wasn't going to get McGugan, maybe that's why he got Baker. Then the Takeover is announced and he has a bit of money to play with and Barry then signs.
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.

We know Mourinho is pissed off because he said that Baker needs to be playing, recalled him & now he has gone to MK Dons with Mourinho saying they are "happy for him to be at MK Dons because they are a club we can trust."

I think with Baker its just as easy to assume that once we signed McGugan, which as Kev said was after the takeover went through, that we informed Chelsea that Baker would not be starting most games, at which point Chelsea decided to recall him and put him somewhere where he would get quality game time!! The key is whether they recalled him because we were not playing him or because we told them we wouldn't be playing him.

But I also completely agree that we need to stay in the good books of the big teams who are looking to loan a lot of their players or else we will not get chances at loaning them, and that could hurt us in any sort of promotion push. It would be great to challenge with a squad full of our own players but the reality is we will need to use the loan system to get where we want to be.

Promotion is so often decided by who gets the best loan signings so it absolutely crucial to keep good relationships with the biggest PL clubs, particularly the ones who appear to have long term managers - Wenger, Mourinho & Rogers. We have pissed off Wenger & Mourinho.

I would presume that Chelsea unilaterally recalled him because of the wording of the statements. If we had been involved at least the statements from our end yould have said something to that effect.

So much is about relationships and pissing off Mourinho is a dangerous game because Mourinho is the kind of person to bear a grudge & might use his influence in the future to derail a possible promotion for us or assist us to get relegated.

My point is that we shouldn't be playing players because we're being told to and out of fear of upsetting "the natural order", we should be playing them because they're good enough for us.
Baker wasn't as good as mcgugan is so we rightly dropped him. If mourinho now has tit on, so be it.
Same goes with Wenger and afobe

Ipswich sign Chris Wood on loan ffs !!! I think the owners may have pulled the plug on funding SG. What ever happened to that winger we were after ??
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you need a team....

you don't think Leiceesecesescseeieecsesceester would rather have Chris Wood playing for a promotion pushing team rather than a team stuck in midtable?
Although Knockaert rumour is doing the rounds so xxxx knows

Not sure Chris Wood is what we need at the moment, just another striker for us to kill confidence with no service!! I think we need a wide man who can beat a defender and get quality crosses in!! With Maghoma and McGugan supporting from midfield a wide man is what is missing now.
